Amy Robach, T.J. Holmes Talk About Getting Married: 'It's On The Table'
There could be wedding bells in T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach's future.
In a recent episode of their "Amy & T.J." podcast, the couple said that marriage is "under consideration" for them at the moment.
Robach, 50, emphasized that she and her former "GMA3: What You Need to Know" co-anchor, 46, were serious in their relationship, stating, "We entered this relationship because we intended on spending our lives together."
The couple, who both have prior marriages, said that they aren't in a rush to get married but that they have the "desire" to make a lifelong commitment.
"I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I can say that. It's on the table. It's on the table," Robach said.
Holmes then joked, "I want to marry you, in part, because you're 50 and I'm 46. And I'm very sick of introducing a 50-year-old woman as my girlfriend. That just sounds stupid."
Robach joined in the laughter, adding, "Thank you for noting the age difference."
Their workplace romance came into public scrutiny in November 2022 when they were still married to other people.
However, the couple clarified in the debut episode of their podcast this month that they were already separated from their respective spouses, actor Andrew Shue and attorney Marilee Fiebig, before pursuing their romantic relationship.
"We thought we were protecting our children and our families, and we thought we had time and we thought we had a right to privacy, and maybe that was foolish and silly?" Robach said.
According to Robach and Holmes, they realized their relationship had started to change during summer last year.
"We kind of tiptoed around it, and I didn't want to say anything," Holmes said in another podcast episode. "You didn't want to say anything, but then as we proceeded through last summer, things definitely changed, and we started having conversations."
Their comments about marriage came weeks after news surfaced of their ex-spouses finding love with each other in the aftermath of their splits.
On Dec. 8, Shue and Fiebig stepped out together for the first time since the romance news broke, with photos published by the Daily Mail showing them in good spirits as they prepared for a weekend getaway.
On the same day, Robach and Holmes packed on PDA as they attended iHeartRadio's Jingleball 2023 Tour's New York stop.
The couple had previously made their red carpet debut at Jingleball 2023 in Los Angeles, sporting matching looks.
