PHOTO: Some Fans Convinced Taylor Swift Left A ‘Hickey’ On Travis Kelce's Neck
Some eagle-eyed Swifties -- Taylor Swift fans -- speculated that the singer-songwriter left a love mark or hickey on her boyfriend's neck after seeing a photo of Travis Kelce during the Kansas City Chiefs' game against the New England Patriots on Dec. 17.
In the photos from the match, a small, maroon-colored mark or bruise was visible on the Kansas City Chief tight-end's neck.
With this, some fans assumed it was a hickey from the American songstress. Sports commentator Pat McAfee thought so, too.
"Taylor left a hickey on Travis? Queen!" one X user tweeted; another wrote, "Wait! Taylor gave Travis a hickey?"
"Is this what we think it is?" a different user tweeted, alongside a photo of Travis during the NFL match.
Photos of Kelce highlighting his alleged hickey were also reposted on TikTok.
"That's why he's wearing turtlenecks today," claimed one user, while another said, "I saw it live, and I knew it was a hickey."
"Love is in the air," said another fan.
Interestingly, McAfee talked about the sighting on his podcast "The Pat McAfee Show" and uploaded the clip on his TikTok account with the caption, "Getting his pulse sucked on," followed by two laughing emojis.
"It did look like he had a hickey right there on his neck. That made me think him and Taylor are just having fun," he stated.
However, other fans and netizens argued that the maroon mark on Kelce's neck was just a bruise he sustained from a football match.
"Not Pat McAfee perpetuating the Travis has a hickey theory. He literally has bruises like that on his neck every week from the game. Let's not objectify him on national TV. That's so gross," one X user tweeted.
"It also takes like two seconds to figure out he didn't have that mark before the game," claimed another netizen.
Someone else wrote, "I blame the NFL meme account for posting it and making it go viral."
Taylor Swift has been showing her support for her boyfriend, Travis, through her appearances in the National Football League (NFL) bleachers.
Included in the Kansas City Chiefs games Taylor attended so far to cheer on her "lover" were matches against the Chicago Bears, New York Jets, Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots, among many others.
