Filipino pop group SB19 recorded a surge in Spotify listeners in Germany, especially in Berlin and Hamburg, three days before 2023 came to a close.

The five-member group has over 80,100 current monthly listeners and 84,200 peak monthly listeners on Spotify in Germany, per Songstats' latest tracking.

These numbers reportedly signify a huge leap from the group's 35,500 peak monthly listeners on Dec. 16 and 83,500 peak monthly listeners on Dec. 27 in the European country.

Per Songstats, Hamburg and Berlin were included in the list of top cities -- dominated by cities in the Philippines -- where SB19 was most listened to on Spotify.

On Dec. 28, the P-Pop group reportedly recorded its peak in Hamburg and Berlin, with 23,106 and 22,388 peak monthly listeners, respectively.

In other news, SB19 started making waves in Europe when its "Pagsibol" EP -- the group's first EP -- peaked at No. 1 on iTunes' Top Albums (All Genre) chart in Luxembourg in late September 2023.

Luxembourg is a small European country surrounded by Belgium, France and Germany.

After releasing its hit song "Gento" in May 2023, SB19 made waves in different countries outside the Philippines, including China, Japan, Malaysia and South Korea, among many others.

Different celebrities and personalities hopped on the "Gento" dance craze on TikTok, leading to SB19's massive popularity abroad.

"Gento" also charted on different streaming sites like Spotify, China's Shazam and LINE Music in Japan, among many others.

SB19 is a five-member group formed in 2018 under ShowBT Philippines. The P-Pop group consists of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken and Justin.

The group debuted with its single "Tilaluha" but only started getting attention when the members' dance practice video for "Go Up" went viral in late 2019.

The quintet has released one studio album, "Get in the Zone," in 2020 and two EPs so far, "Pagsibol" in 2021 and "Pagtatag!" in 2023.

The group has also collaborated with different artists, including South Korean producer Ohwon Lee, 2NE1's former member Sandara Park and American singer-songwriter JVKE.

SB19 recently celebrated its five years in the music scene in October 2023. The group is now under 1Z Entertainment, a company built and managed by the SB19 members.
