Prince William, Kate Middleton ‘Heated’ Fights Revealed; King-To-Be Is A ‘Shouter,’ Royal Author Says
Prince William allegedly has a short temper and shouts during arguments with his wife, Kate Middleton, a royal author has claimed.
In his book "The Making of a Modern Monarch," Robert Jobson described the Prince of Wales as having a "notably short fuse" and being "a bit of a shouter when he loses it," according to the New York Post. Enstarz could not independently verify Jobson's claims.
The author drew parallels between William's alleged mood swings and those of his mother, Princess Diana, claiming that the late royal could shift from being a best friend to a formidable adversary.
The royal expert also alleged that Prince William and Princess Kate frequently have "heated" arguments behind closed doors.
Jobson quoted an unnamed ex-royal aide as saying that the Prince and Princess of Wales "gave as good as they get if their disagreement results in raised voices."
But the former aide reportedly told the author that Prince William and Middleton quickly reconciled after fights, with the princess playing a calming role in the marriage.
Jobson's account aligned with previous claims by royal author Christopher Andersen about Prince William's and King Charles' alleged tempers.
In a 2022 interview with Us Weekly, the "King: The Life of King Charles III" author described the British monarch as having a "huge temper" while characterizing William as a "slow burner."
Notably, Prince Harry claimed in the Netflix docuseries "Harry & Meghan" that Prince William shouted at him after he and his wife, Meghan Markle, announced their decision to step back from royal duties in 2020.
"It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me, and my father say things that simply weren't true and my grandmother quietly sit there and sort of take it all in," the Duke of Sussex said.
Prince Harry also previously shed light on an alleged fight with his older brother over Markle.
In his 2023 memoir "Spare," Prince Harry alleged that Prince William called Markle "difficult," "rude," and "abrasive," leading to a fight in which the older royal reportedly grabbed the Duke of Sussex by the collar.
Jobson's claims came after Prince William and Middleton recently reflected on their significant moments of 2023 in a video montage shared on their social media pages.
The montage included clips and never-before-seen photos from the Waleses' preparations for King Charles' coronation, royal engagements, and moments with their three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.
Looking ahead to 2024, the royal couple reportedly has plans for international travel in the first part of the year.
They also remain committed to their respective initiatives, including Prince William's Earthshot Prize and Homewards initiative combating homelessness and Princess Kate's Shaping Us program supporting early childhood development.
"They're extremely supportive of each other and each other's work," an unnamed palace source told People of the couple. "William takes huge pride in what Kate's achieving from an early years perspective and likewise, she's a huge follower in what the prince has done this year on Homewards and Earthshot."
