Prince Harry Has To Apologize, Compromise To Get His Family Back: Royal Expert
Prince Harry needs to reach out to his family if he wants them back, according to a royal commentator.
Angela Levin, Prince Harry's biographer and author of "Camilla: From Outcast to Queen Consort," appeared on GB News' "The Bolt Report." She was asked about Prince Harry's potential return to the royal fold after Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson were seen with the royals during their Christmas walk. During her guest appearance, the host asked Levin what it would take for Prince Harry to be accepted back into the royal family.
"I wrote Prince Harry's biography in 2018. I spent 15 months with him, so I do know him. Well, it's not that I don't like him, it's how he's changed. But first of all, he's got to apologize hugely, and he's also got to compromise, and he won't compromise," Levin said.
The royal expert claimed that Prince Harry was petty for wanting his father, King Charles, and big brother, Prince William, to apologize for childhood stuff like him getting four sausages while the heir to the throne received five. Levin also stressed the need for Prince Harry to spend more time with his family amid their beef.
"But you know, if you want to bring back a family, you have to spend time. He can't rush here and stay for half an hour, then rush away. It takes weeks, months even," Levin continued.
Last year, Prince Harry flew to the U.K. alone and reunited with the royals for his father King Charles' coronation on May 6, 2023. However, he also headed back to California shortly after the coronation.
Lastly, Levin suggested Prince Harry should earn his family's trust after breaking it. The Duke did a lot of interviews, dishing out intimate details about the royal family. He also penned a memoir, "Spare," where he detailed his physical brawl with his brother, his sentiments toward his father and stepmother, Queen Camilla, and the misunderstanding between Meghan Markle and his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.
"He has to be trusted, and he has to say he's sorry for the terrible things that he said about his father, stepmother, and his brother and his sister-in-law, who he once said that you know, she was the sister he'd always wanted. But he doesn't want to give an inch," Levin continued.
Daily Mail Diary Editor Richard Eden also spoke about the same issue -- Ferguson being back to the royal fold and the possibility of the Sussexes' return -- in the latest edition of the Palace Confidential Newsletter. Eden said King Charles seemed "determined to be a forgiving monarch," but he believed Prince Harry and Markle should show repentance. However, there was reportedly no sign of it.
"Until that happens, we may continue to witness the unlikely spectacle of ex-royal Fergie enjoying a more prominent role in the Royal Family than the King's second son," Eden wrote.
