Jennifer Lopez On Ben Affleck's Viral Paparazzi Moods: 'You Don't Need To Worry About Ben'
Jennifer Lopez gave an update about her husband, Ben Affleck.
Lopez and Affleck made their Golden Globes debut at the Beverly Hilton Hotel after they reconciled and tied the knot in August 2023, nearly two decades after they called off their first engagement in 2004.
Lopez was stunning in her custom Nicole + Felicia pink gown. She accessorized with Boucheron jewelry, a Judith Leiber bag and Christian Louboutin pumps. Meanwhile, Affleck looked dapper in his classic black tuxedo. The pair showed minimal PDA when they walked the red carpet, and the "Batman" star stepped to the side to give his wife the spotlight for solo shots.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lopez was asked about some photos of Affleck out and about that went viral due to his facial expressions.
"Ben is doing alright. You don't need to worry about Ben, let me just tell you," Lopez told the outlet while laughing. "He is good. He is happy. He is here -- he is nominated. He's like, 'I'm chilling, I don't understand what people are so pressed for.'"
The photos in question featured Affleck walking on the streets often with Dunkin' in one hand while running errands. In the shots, he looked hilarious but relatable. The "Marry Me" actress admitted that she didn't understand the appeal, adding, "They don't pick up on my face."
In the same interview, Lopez expressed her excitement for the first single of her "This Is Me...Now" album, "Can't Get Enough," set to drop Wednesday.
"It's the first single of a project that has been kind of 22 years in the making. I did 'This is Me...Then' 22 years ago, and on the 20th anniversary, I made the album and announced that I would be making the 'This Is Me...Now album,'" Lopez shared. "It's a big day for me."
Lopez's fans will see the entire album and the full film "This is Me...No: A Love Story" on Feb. 16 on Prime Video. The project was written and directed by Dave Meyers, and Lopez said it's a major thing for her.
"It was a lot," Lopez continued. "And it was a big undertaking, but you know, when you believe in something, and you really have a story to tell, nothing can stop you."
Lopez's music and film are a full-circle moment for her and Affleck after they reunited. She developed the new album 20 years after her Affleck-inspired album, "This Is Me... Then." The new album features 13 tracks, including "This Is Me ...Now," "Dear Ben pt. II," "Midnight Trip to Vegas," "Greatest Love Story Never Told" and "To Be Yours," to name a few.
Lopez and Affleck first dated in the 2000s but called off their engagement four years later. They reunited in 2021 and tied the knot in July 2022 in a surprise wedding in Las Vegas.
