Lindsay Lohan, who played the role of Cady Heron in the original "Mean Girls" film, was reportedly "very hurt" and "disappointed" by a joke in the new "Mean Girls" musical movie.

In a scene in the musical showing Megan Thee Stallion and Angourie Rice, the rapper says, "We are going back red. Y2K fire crotch is back!" while the new Cady Heron's Christmas-themed talent show outfit is shown, per People.

Lohan's representative told E! News that the actress was not pleased with the "fire crotch" reference in one of the film's dialogues.

"Lindsay was very hurt and disappointed by the reference in the film," her representative said.

The "fire crotch" statement was reportedly a reference to a 2006 video in which Paris Hilton's friend Brandon Davis trashed Lindsay to the paparazzi.

"I think she's worth about $7 million, which means she's really poor. It's disgusting. She lives in a motel," Davis told the paparazzi.

After that, he branded the actress a "fire crotch" and said, "Who would want to f*** her?"

Learning about Lohan's response to the line, fans and netizens shared their reactions online, particularly on X, formerly Twitter.

"[This is] very disrespectful to her. But I wonder if Megan even knew what this was referencing. She was 11/12 in 2006," tweeted a music and pop culture X account.

"Lindsay Lohan has been through a lot, and it's not fair to dredge up an old insult like this. It's interesting that the line is coming from Megan Thee Stallion, who has been outspoken about body positivity and female empowerment," wrote another.

A third user said, "If they wanted to reference Lindsay, they should've used a better joke instead of using a traumatic experience that made towards her as a very young adult. It wasn't funny then, and it's not funny now."

Meanwhile, Tina Fey dropped a spoiler ahead of the new movie's release. According to her, Lohan has made a cameo as a Mathlete moderator.

"I felt like if I could only get one person as a surprise, the original movie is really Lindsay's movie," Fey, who wrote the screenplay, told Entertainment Weekly last week.

"As great as they all are, she's the heart of that movie," she added.
