Prince Harry Mocked For His 'Chicken Legs' After Being Photographed While Jogging
Prince Harry received an intense backlash after his recent sighting.
The Duke of Sussex was spotted jogging around Santa Barbara, California, Tuesday morning. It was the first time he was seen in public after reports claimed Queen Elizabeth got upset that he and his wife, Meghan Markle, named their daughter "Lilibet."
Prince Harry wore layered clothing and a beanie for the outing. He also sported a purple shirt, a jacket from Loro Piana and light material shorts.
One user shared some snaps of Prince Harry on X, formerly Twitter. The post immediately received mixed responses from other online users, with many commenting on his legs. According to the netizens, the royals' legs were so thin they were comparable to "chicken legs."
"I did look straight at his chicken legs & thought the same... that made me laugh out loud brilliant analysis overall," one wrote. Another added, "Looks like he's hitting the Ozempic too. His legs are almost as scrawny as hers."
"[L]ast time I saw legs like that, they were hanging out of a nest," a third person wrote.
"Bravo!! I agree with each point. Esp the legs!! I thought the same thing. Male chicken legs," a fourth user opined.
"He has chicken legs too," a different netizen observed.
Meanwhile, several also defended Prince Harry and his wife. A number urged the critics to just leave the Duke and Duchess alone.
"My analysis is that you should leave Harry and Meghan alone. They moved to the U.S. to escape second-rate journalism like this. Find some proper news to report," one stated.
"Do you guys not have something more important to say[?] Please leave Harry and his family alone," another Sussex supporter suggested.
Aside from criticizing Prince Harry's legs, the sighting raised several eyebrows because he was reportedly on his own at the time despite previously raising security concerns.
"This is exactly the kind of picture needed to debunk Harry's claims of the need for extra security. *(no one was triggered by flashbulbs in the snapping of Backgrid's photos)," one commented with cameras and face with tears of joy emojis.
A different person wrote, "Sorry Harry, you're not Princess Diana. No one is hounding you; they are avoiding you like the plague. Time for you to jog on."
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Markle have not released a statement in response to the latest issue surrounding their daughter's name.
The couple previously said they had asked for the Queen's permission to use her name for their child. However, British socialite and royal pundit Lady Colin Campbell said that while the Sussexes had informed Her Majesty that they would use her name, the late monarch thought they would use "Elizabeth" and not "Lilibet."
