Which Of Donald Trump’s Kids Attended Melania’s Mom’s Funeral?
Donald Trump and all five of his children gathered to bid farewell to Melania Trump's mother, Amalija Knavs, at her funeral Thursday.
The somber occasion at The Church of Bethesda-By-The-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida, saw the former president's daughters, Ivanka Trump and Tiffany Trump, attending with their spouses Jared Kushner and Michael Boulos, respectively.
Photos and videos obtained by the Daily Mail and Page Six showed Eric Trump, his wife Lara Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and his partner Kimberly Guilfoyle were also present.
The former first lady and Donald's 17-year-old son, Barron, was seen towering over his parents as they stood outside the church, waiting for Knavs' casket.
Melania sported a black blazer and skirt, while her husband donned a dark navy suit for the funeral.
Melania delivered an emotional eulogy, expressing admiration for her mother's "nurturing spirit" and "exceptional" dedication, as seen in a video shared by Fox News.
She spoke about Knavs' love for her grandson Barron, whom she "showered with affection, illuminating his world with love, tender care, and unwavering devotion."
Melania's voice cracked as she bid farewell, saying, "Rest in peace, my beloved mother."
In a statement to the Daily Mail, the former model's lawyer, Michael Wildes, described her eulogy as "lovely" and heartfelt.
"Melania was composed and elegant as always, but this was undoubtedly an impactful moment for her," the lawyer added. "The loss of her mother has really shocked her to the core. She relied heavily on her for support and council. She was the epitome of a doting grandmother."
Last week, Melania announced the sad news that her mother had passed away on Jan. 9 at the age of 78.
In a statement shared via X, formerly Twitter, she praised Knavs' "grace, warmth, and dignity."
At the time, Ivanka paid tribute to Knavs on social media, describing her as a "remarkable woman who brought immense joy and love into the lives of all around her."
The cause of death has not been disclosed. But Knavs had been reportedly very ill around the holidays, leading to Melania's absence from the Trump family's Christmas gathering and the former president's New Year's Eve party.
Knavs and her husband, Viktor Knavs, became U.S. citizens in 2018.
The couple was residing at Mar-a-Lago, near their daughter and son-in-law, at the time of Amalija's passing.
