Prince Harry 'Watched' Meghan Markle's Movie That Will 'Bore You To Death,' Boasts Director
Apparently, "Suits" isn't the only project of Meghan Markle's that her husband, Prince Harry, has watched.
Matthew Cole Weiss, a director who worked with the Duchess of Sussex in the early days of her acting career, claimed on X, formerly Twitter, that Prince Harry told him he had watched his 2006 made-for-TV movie "Deceit."
According to the director, the Duke of Sussex made the revelation while they were having a "full convo" during the Living Legends of Aviation Awards last Friday night.
"Got to have a full convo with Prince Harry. Super sweet. He knew of the movie I directed starring Meghan! Said he watched it before. And Pics with Oliver Stone and William Shatner!" Weiss wrote.
Weiss, who also serves as a producer for TMZ, shared a snap of the royal conversing with guests at the gala.
Markle had a small role in "Deceit," playing Gwen, a friend of the protagonist who offers advice in one scene.
The psychological thriller received poor reviews online, scoring just 4.5/10 on IMDb.
Reviews criticized the movie's "weak acting" and lack of "solid characters." One even suggested that it would "bore you to death."
This news comes over a year after the release of Prince Harry's "Spare," in which he discussed his experience watching his wife's most well-known project, "Suits."
In the memoir, the Duke of Sussex wrote that he regretted looking up and watching Markle's intimate scenes in the hit drama, saying it would require "electric-shock therapy" to erase those images from his mind, according to Page Six.
Prince Harry also claimed in his book that his older brother Prince William and sister-in-law Kate Middleton's "mouths fell open" in shock after they learned that he was courting Markle in 2016.
"Willy and Kate explained that they were regular-nay, religious-viewers of 'Suits,'" Prince Harry wrote. "'Great,' I thought, laughing. I've been worrying about the wrong thing. All this time I'd thought Willy and Kate might not welcome Meg into the family, but now I had to worry about them hounding her for an autograph."
Markle played Rachel Zane on "Suits" for seven seasons before leaving in 2018, just weeks before she tied the knot with Prince Harry.
The duchess previously reminisced about her time on the USA Network series at Variety's Power of Women event in Los Angeles in November 2023.
"It was great to work on, such a great cast and crew. We had a really fun time," she told Variety.
Commenting on "Suits'" resurgence in recent months, Markle expressed joy over the show's enduring popularity, saying, "Good shows are everlasting."
Meanwhile, Prince Harry was honored for his "significant contributions to aviation/aerospace" at the 21st Annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards in Beverly Hills.
Prince Harry, a former helicopter pilot in the British Army, received his award from John Travolta, recognizing his role in flying training and combat missions.
