"1,000-Lb Sisters" star Tammy Slaton shared her first flight experience and admitted she was surprised that she fit in on one seat.

Slaton made a major milestone in her first plane ride, documented in the Jan. 23 episode of the reality show. In one scene, Tammy takes her first plane ride with her siblings, Misty and Amanda. The TLC star admitted that she was nervous and was even "shaking" when she got in on the plane.

"When I actually got on the plane and sat down and was comfortable, I was kind of surprised that I didn't need both seats that we paid for," Tammy, who lost 440 pounds after undergoing bariatric surgery in 2022, said, E! News reported.

Tammy purchased two adjacent coach seats for the flight. She was surprised she didn't need both and only needed one seat when she buckled her seatbelt.

"When I actually got on the plane and sat down and was comfortable, I was kind of surprised that I didn't need both seats that we paid for," she added.

When the plane departed, she faced another potential challenge: she wasn't prepared for the bumpy ride.

"I was cool until we actually started lifting off," she shared. "My family forgot to mention some stuff about the plane ride. The turbulence was really bad. Once I was able to compare to things I've already done, like riding in a car or going over train tracks, I was golden."

When the plane landed in Pensacola, Tammy was overjoyed. She even exclaimed, "We made it! Safely!"

When she was wheeled through the airport, Tammy joked, "I'm alive!"

"It's pretty cool being able to share a victory with my family," she said in her confessional. "I'm ready for another one."

Tammy and her sister, Amy Slaton, landed the reality show "1,000-Lb Sisters" for their combined weight -- about 1,000 pounds. However, between the two, Tammy had a more challenging time shedding the extra pounds.

Tammy struggled with her weight for years and became depressed due to her unhealthy habits of partying, drinking and vaping. She used a wheelchair or walker to assist with her mobility until she stopped breathing and was placed in a medically induced coma in early 2022.

When she recovered, she checked into a weight loss rehab facility in Ohio, where she dropped from 717 pounds to 534 pounds and qualified for bariatric surgery. There, she met her husband, Caleb Willingham, who passed away last year.

Amy and Tammy flaunted their epic weight loss in a snap that the former shared on Instagram before the release of "1,000-Lb Sisters" Season 5.

"1000lbs sisters vs the world," Amy wrote in the caption.
