Bruno Mars In His K-Pop Era? Lightsticks Sold At His Japan Concert
Bruno Mars fans joked about the singer entering his K-Pop era after an unboxing video of his lightstick went viral on TikTok.
TikTok user @lindrin111 recently went viral on TikTok for uploading videos from her recent Bruno Mars concert experience at the Tokyo Dome last weekend. One of the videos was an unboxing video of a Bruno Mars glowstick that resembled the lightsticks used by K-Pop fans during concerts.
Her upload has since gained over 361,000 views on the platform, receiving different reactions from other TikTok users. It has also been reposted by several users on X.
"Bruno Mars Oppa," quipped one user, while another joked, "Bruno Mars lightstick, no photocard?"
"Western artists need to start doing this, it would be so cute!" commented another person.
"K-Popification of Bruno Mars!" wrote a fourth user.
Meanwhile, others are commenting about how they would like a Bruno Mars lightstick, too.
"I wish they would do this in the States," said one fan.
"It's not a want but a need," wrote another supporter.
Other fans also posted about their Bruno Mars lightstick on X.
According to Spiel Times, the Bruno Mars lightstick that went viral on TikTok was exclusively sold at the "24K Magic" singer's seven sold-out Tokyo Dome concerts.
Per X user @nemohamorumor's tweet, the glowstick was part of the "Bruno Mars Live in Japan" official merchandise. It was sold for 5,000 JPY or US $33.85.
Other official merchandise sold at Bruno Mars' Tokyo Dome concerts include t-shirts, happi coats, hoodies, hats, tote bags, towels, tea cups, pin sets and lithographs.
Bruno Mars x Hello Kitty items were also made available for purchase at a pop-up store in Rayard Miyashita Park from Jan. 6 to 24.
The 38-year-old singer-songwriter held seven shows at the Tokyo Dome in Japan on Jan. 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20 and 21.
After his successful Japanese shows, Bruno uploaded a fun video summing up his Tokyo experience.
"What a magical place. Thank you to the beautiful people of Japan for giving us an experience we will never forget and making me feel like a true Kawaii King out here in these Tokyo streets," he tweeted.
He added, "Love always, your Bruno-San."
