Tekashi 6ix9ine was released on bond in the Dominican Republic on Thursday, as a judge ruled that the evidence presented by prosecutors in the domestic violence case was insufficient to warrant his continued detention.

The 27-year-old rapper, born Daniel Hernandez, has been held in Santo Domingo since Jan. 17. The arrest stemmed from accusations by Wanda Díaz, the mother of his girlfriend and fellow rapper, Yailin La Más Viral, who claimed he assaulted them both last year.

During a hearing before Judge Fátima Veloz, Yailin La Más Viral reportedly contradicted her mother's allegations. She stated that the "TROLLZ" rapper had never physically assaulted her.

Judge Veloz imposed a bail of 30,000 pesos (approximately $509) in the legal proceedings against Tekashi 6ix9ine.

The New York native is under restrictions that include a prohibition on leaving the country without judicial permission. Additionally, he is required to present himself in court every two months.

Wanda Díaz, unable to attend the hearing due to reported health issues resulting from a cosmetic surgery complication, accused Tekashi of assaulting her and Yailin La Más Viral.

Díaz spoke during a live YouTube stream on Alofoke Radio Show shortly after Tekashi's arrest as he reportedly tried to leave the country. She alleged that he assaulted them when she attempted to intervene and prevent him from allegedly beating her daughter.

"One time I was with her, they were arguing, he pushed me, he slammed me because I got involved, because he hit my daughter," she claimed. "I was thrown to the ground. [Tekashi's] security did not do anything. I was there telling him not to continue beating my daughter, and he kept on, and I got involved."

Tekashi's lawyer, Waldo Paulino, addressed the media outside the courtroom, claiming that Díaz was being dishonest. After the judge ordered a recess to allow the defense to present additional evidence, Paulino asserted, "The evidence they presented against Tekashi is not valid as established in the law. Wanda has said a lie against Daniel Hernández."
