Justin Timberlake appeared on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" Tuesday and teased the possibility of a new song release from NSYNC.

During his guest appearance on the "American Idol" alum's show, Justin talked about his former bandmates and their recent reunion to record the single "Better Place" for the animated musical comedy film "Trolls Band Together."

"We've been in the studio, so there may be a little something in the future, too," he revealed.

The revelation came after Clarkson asked Timberlake if there was anything left that he wanted to do. He responded with a recollection of "growing up in the industry and getting access to so much in the studio" and becoming a "studio rat."

After sharing how much he loves being in the studio and the creative process that comes with it, he said, "As it pertains to harmonies, I spent some time with four other guys doing a lot of harmonies."

Despite not working on music together for over two decades and only reconnecting recently for "Better Place," Timberlake said that it seemed like no time had passed between him and his former NSYNC bandmates JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick.

"It's kind of crazy. There's so much that just picks up right where it left off as far as the chemistry," he said.

Interestingly, Lance Bass also hinted at possible good news for the group's fans during his guest appearance on Bilt Rewards founder Ankur Jain's online game show, "Rent Free," in December.

For the second question in the game, he was asked to name six iconic boybands, and he got four answers correct per the collected responses from the Bilt Members: the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, BTS and The Beatles.

After that, Jain asked him how he felt about doing "Trolls" with his bandmates, to which he responded, "'Trolls' was amazing. It was nice to get back in the studio with those guys. It's been a lot of fun."

Asked about another possible reunion, Bass said, "We are talking about it, and I hope to have some good news at some point."

NSYNC broke up in 2004, as Bass revealed in his 2007 memoir.

"Better Place" is the iconic group's new song release in almost 20 years.
