Tom Sandoval Speaks On Cheating And Fallout With Ariana Madix: 'I Regret It Hardcore'
'Vanderpump Rules' cast member Tom Sandoval sat with former 'The Bachelor' star Nick Viall on his show 'The Viall Files Podcast' and discussed how he blew the relationship with long-time sweetheart Ariana Madix.
Sandoval, 40, explained that he ended up stepping out due to low self-worth, claiming Madix belittled him immensely throughout their relationship.
Viall hinted at his rebellious behavior, asking Sandoval's BFF Tom Schwartz, "Would you trust someone you care about to date Sandoval today?"
Tom Schwartz shrugged, answering, "It depends," he answered, while Viall, 43, said he wouldn't.
"I don't know what to say, except that like — I f***d up. And, I know that I did that," Sandoval said. "It doesn't matter the scenario, it doesn't matter. I f****d up."
Sandoval went on to explain how he "loves hard" and that his vulnerability led him to make decisions he would later regret.
"Unfortunately, being vulnerable in the situation got me to throw logic and everything out the way and people's feelings and Ariana's feelings," he said. "I regret it hardcore, I really do. I can't do anything about it except just try to..."
"You can learn from it," Viall chimed in.
"Yes, exactly! I've learned so much," Sandoval said.
When Viall asked him on what he learned exactly, he responded that he "won't cheat like that again."
"Like, I don't know what to say. What have I learned? What have I learned!? To not ever do that again," Sandoval began. "To not ever be in a nine-year f*****g relationship and end it that way. To not ever, like... cheat that way. Dude, I'm never gonna do that. That's never gonna happen."
Viall circled back, looking perplexed with his answer, asking, "What do you mean cheat that way? When you say cheat that way it implies that you might cheat a different way."
"To have an affair, to have an affair!" Sandoval clarified.
He went on to say he was a slave to his feelings and that he had never experienced an overwhelming amount of emotions in that way before.
Sandoval says that he "loved Ariana," and the breakup that lasted four months wasn't easy.
Season 11 of 'Vanderpump Rules' will premiere on Jan. 30 at 8:00pm on Bravo.
