The hit television series 'The Simpsons' is well-known it's lead character, dopey dad Homer and his outrageous antics, Lisa's obsession with the saxophone, and the family's matriarch Marge picking up the pieces.

However, over the past few decades, the show has proven its keen ability to foretell events that we have indeed experienced.

This includes "A Submersible Disaster (Season 17, Ep 10, 2006), Joe Biden and Kamala Harris's election (special short, 2019), the invention of smartwatches (season 6, Ep.19, 2006) and more.

Let's peek at a few stories the fortune-telling series may have for us for the remainder of 2024.

1. 'Bart to the Future' (Season 11, Ep. 17)

In this episode, Bart is given a tip on what his life will be like in 30 years. Interestingly, Homer is seen flying pass a sign that says "Trump 2024." This episode premiered in 2000, before he was ever president, to begin with. Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election, making him the 45th president of the United States.

2. 'AI Revolution' (Season 23, Ep. 23)

This dystopian episode presents a situation where Homer loses his well-known brewery job while Mr. Burns gives all the jobs at the power plant to A.I. robots.

This is hitting close to home now more than ever, with major corporations like McDonald's introducing a chatbot named "Ask Pickles."

According to Bloomberg, the corporation is embracing A.I. to improve operations and customer crew experience.

3. 'Virtual Reality Food' (Season 11, Ep. 17)

Homer and Marge dare to explore the concept of a digital world. In this episode, the two are seen wearing a virtual reality headset with a straw attached from the machine into their mouths. Although they're just sitting a the kitchen table, they're feasting on virtual fudge.

Companies such as AeroBanquets RMX are already experimenting with such technology, allowing users to dine with a VR experience.

4. 'Baby Translator' (Season 3, Ep. 24)

Homer's brother, Herb, unveils a new invention in the family's living room, presenting a baby translator. The machine is used to translate baby talk into speech.

Although the invention is in the beginning stages, the company Zoundream began developing this type of technology. The product uses artificial intelligence and sound recognition to analyze sound and translate the needs of the baby.
