Bob Odenkirk seemed flabbergasted when he discovered his royal roots.

The "Better Call Saul" actor recently learned of his connection to the royal family from PBS' "Finding Your Roots," hosted by Henry Louis Gates Jr.

"That is wild," Odenkirk remarked upon discovering that he's related to King Charles.

"[I feel] like I'm part of history that I didn't think I was any part of. But I'm an American. I'm not a monarchist. I don't believe in that," he added.

The actor went on to explain why he does not support monarchies.

"You know, I feel like it's a little twisted. I understand why society built itself around monarchs and leaders, and they passed them down through generations. I understand that goes through every society, every civilization," Odenkirk said.

He continued, "But I think that we've gone to a better place with democracy, and we should keep going down that road."

After Henry revealed that he and King Charles were 11th cousins, Odenkirk was shocked but managed to laugh.

According to the show, Bob's fifth great-grandfather, Friedrich Carl Steinholz, was the son of the Duke of Plön. Steinholz's mother conceived him out of wedlock with the Duke, who had ties with the royal families of Europe through intermarriage.

"Well, maybe I'll change my mind on that," he quipped, seemingly starting to warm up to the concept of monarchy.

"Now, there you be trashing your family, how they make a living. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. You ain't been royal for more than five minutes," Henry joked, prompting Bob to laugh.

"That's so funny, man. Oh, that is crazy. I never even thought about that! Of course, that's true, right?" the Emmy-nominated actor quipped.

The "Finding Your Roots" episode featuring Odenkirk, which premiered Tuesday, is now available for streaming on the PBS app or the PBS official site.

Meanwhile, netizens left positive comments on Gates' tweet regarding the actor's guest appearance on the show.

"He's royalty! I'll have to curtsy if I ever meet him," one X user joked.

"It was so touching to see both your guests get emotional to find out who their ancestors were or the suffering they endured. Put a face to a story, and it becomes your own! I truly enjoy your show, Dr. Gates," wrote another.

"Such a fantastic episode! Tonight's finding their roots brought home oodles of laughs, along with some 'wild' moments..." commented a third user.
