Cole Sprouse Says He Doesn't Remember Much Of 'Suite Life Of Zack & Cody'
Cole Sprouse has revealed that his memories of the eight years he spent filming "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" are somewhat hazy.
The 31-year-old actor, who starred in the Disney series alongside his twin brother Dylan Sprouse, opened up about his experiences during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight.
"If I'm being fully honest, when you shoot that many episodes of a show, they kind of all blend together as one big amorphous memory," Sprouse, who played Cody Martin, shared. "I don't really remember too much of that period."
Sprouse, who was only 12 years old when the series premiered, admitted that the years spent on set were a blur, saying, "The specific details are kind of lost. It was a different time."
"The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" originally ran from 2005 to 2008 and was later rebooted as "The Suite Life on Deck," which aired until May 2011. "The Suite Life Movie" also aired that year.
During his appearance on "Live with Kelly and Mark" on Wednesday, co-host Kelly Ripa pointed out that Sprouse was "literally born into this business."
"Don't remind me," Sprouse replied before explaining that the notion of fame didn't fully settle in for him until much later.
"I don't think I was conscious until about 2018," he joked.
Reflecting on his time on "Friends," where he played Ben Geller, Sprouse noted, "I walked into the studio for the first time, and there was an energy in that studio that made me go, 'This is the biggest show in the world.'"
In his interview with ET, Sprouse also responded to recent praise from his former co-star Kim Rhodes, who played Zack and Cody's mother on "Suite Life," for the twins.
Rhodes recently recalled on the "Back to the Best" podcast that Dylan refused to say the fat jokes in the script that were aimed at her during her pregnancy.
According to Rhodes, Dylan and Cole were very "protective" of her on set and "defended me all the way through."
Addressing Rhodes' comments, Cole told ET, "I love Kim. I'm glad to hear that she looks back on all that fun."
The actor said most of the "Suite Life" cast have kept in touch in the years after the show wrapped.
"Honestly a lot of the cast and crew I still talk to from 'Suite Life.' I think when you spend eight years with a crew inside a soundstage, it's kind of inevitable you guys become a little bit of a family," he said.
In addition to his "Suite Life" role, Cole is best known for playing Jughead on "Riverdale." The CW series ended last year after seven seasons.
Cole has since moved on to new projects. His latest venture is the horror comedy film "Lisa Frankenstein," in which he stars alongside Kathryn Newton and Liza Soberano.
Directed by Zelda Williams and written by Diablo Cody, "Lisa Frankenstein" is set to hit theaters on Feb. 9.
For those looking to relive the nostalgia, both "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" and "The Suite Life on Deck" are available for streaming on Disney+.
