Meghan Markle's Memoir Will Be 'Another Bomb' To The Royal Family, Ex-Butler Claims
Meghan Markle will likely follow in her husband Prince Harry's footsteps in publishing a memoir, according to a former royal staffer.
Paul Burrell, who worked for Princess Diana for over 10 years until she passed away in 1997, weighed in on the future of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The ex-butler was convinced that Markle would release a book similar to Prince Harry's "Spare."
"I am waiting for Meghan to release her own memoir," Burrell told The Post. "[She] is inevitably going to write her side of the story because of how absent she was from 'Spare,' and that is because she is penning her memoir and telling it from a woman's perspective."
Burrell warned the members of the royal family to "watch out" for an "explosion" in Markle's rumored memoir. The "The Way We Were: Remembering Diana" author speculated that the former "Suit" star's publication would be a "bomb" to the royal household.
There's "going to be another bomb in the House of Windsor . . . another explosion will go off when we find out that she is going to publish, and she will," he added.
"There is no way she is going to stay quiet: She is going to want her side of the story out there, and that will do even further damage to the royal family and rock them even more."
Prince Harry made several scathing remarks and shared intimate details about the royal family in his book, including his physical altercation with Prince William, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle's text exchange over the bridesmaid dresses, and King Charles allegedly being a cold father. Burrell warned Prince Harry to be cautious with his moves against his family.
"He has to be careful about attacking the royal family," Burrell continued. "Meghan and Harry have forgotten their only unique selling point is being royal, so why are they trying to destroy the institution? It doesn't make sense."
PR expert Mayah Riaz, founder of Social Media Kindness Day and former editor-in-chief of DEEN magazine, previously offered unsolicited advice to Markle for her memoir. Riaz also reminded the Duchess of Sussex to be careful with her book after her husband's publication received an intense backlash for oversharing family misunderstandings, which many believed were normal in every household.
"If Meghan is writing her memoir, she will have approached this with a strategic mindset," Riaz told The Mirror. "The million dollar question is, of course, whether there will be any mention of her time in the Royal Family. This is difficult for anyone to say for certain."
