Candace Owens Criticizes Ice Spice's 'Fart' Single: 'We've Fallen As A Society'
Candace Owens expressed her disapproval of Ice Spice's lastest single, 'Think U The S**t (Fart),' claiming it sets American as a society back.
On her Candace Owens Podcast, the conservative pundit criticized the track's lyrical content, drawing parallels to Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's 'Wap,' a song she called "disgusting."
Owens, 34, played a questioned it's musical quality after playing a snippet of the song:
"Think you the s**t, b***h? / You not even the fart / I be goin' hard/ I'm breakin' they hearts, like / B*****s be quick, but I'm quicker / B*****s be thick, but I'm thicker / She could be rich, but I'm richer."
"If you're wondering whether or not it's a good song, what do you think? It's called 'Think U The S**t (Fart)," she said. "Now I think we can all admit that we've fallen as a society."
She continued: "I mean, I wouldn't say that was Mozart or Beethoven. But I'm not all of these mainstream media publications that routinely run to defend this kind of music similar to what they did with 'WAP' the most disgusting and filthiest lyrics I've ever read. They will then sit down and write an article trying to convince you that what you just heard was magical and they did this with this Ice Spice song."
The New York native urged the American public to revert back to a time when songs like 'Fart' weren't celebrated, calling the single "s**t fart" during her commentary.
"Let's move on," she concluded.
Ice Spice, 24, dropped her single "Think U The Sh*t (Fart)" on January 26, set to be the lead for her debut album, Y2K. Produced by RIOTUSA and Synthetic, the track features a Jersey club-inspired beat, simple synthesizer, and 808-driven composition. "Fart" interpolates Jay-Z and Kanye West's "N*****as in Paris" and her own track "Munch."
