The Rock's Daughter Getting Death Threats Over Dad's WWE Storyline: 'Leave Me Out Of This'
The Rock's wrestler daughter and NXT on-screen general manager Ava allegedly got flooded with hate messages and death threats over her dad's latest WWE comeback.
On Monday, Ava took to X, formerly Twitter, to air her sentiments. Her first tweet read, "Can you all just leave me out of this? [For f**k's sake], I'm busy running a SHOW."
She followed it up with, "...death threats over a situation I have nothing to do with. [Be f***ing for real]."
Ava -- real name Simone Garcia Johnson -- received tweets of support and encouragement from X users following her posts.
"She has nothing to do with what's going on 'cause she's the NXT GM, and she's doing a wonderful job since the beginning. So, please guys, stop threatening her and leave her alone. The real ones love you, Ava," tweeted one user.
Another wrote, "I'm sorry this happened to you. Those fans who sent those things are vile."
"Guys, I'm all for being upset at wrestling, but don't attack family members or anyone else that have nothing to do with anything. At the end of the day, it's all entertainment and being overly cruel is nonsensical," someone else opined.
"I understand the #WeWantCody movement, but there's a limit to how far we should be going, guys. We shouldn't be harassing and sending Ava death threats because she's Dwayne's daughter, she doesn't have anything to do with the situation it's just wrong to send anyone death threats," commented a fourth user.
Some wrestling fans were disappointed about Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock's appearance on SmackDown last week.
Some criticized the move as The Rock seemingly replaced Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania and looked all set to face Roman Reigns.
To note, Cody won the Royal Rumble in January, per TMZ.
The Rock's fans came out in support of Johnson by tweeting, "We Want Rocky," on X, while Rhodes' fans tweeted, "We Want Cody."
So far, nothing is reportedly set in stone about WrestleMania for April.
Per Times Now News, WWE is likely to confirm the match between The Rock and Roman Reigns at a press event on Thursday.
