Prince William is reportedly serious about keeping the monarchy intact, according to reports.

All eyes are on the Prince of Wales after Buckingham Palace announced that his father, King Charles, has cancer. There were speculations that the current monarch might abdicate due to his health condition, and the heir might start to reign earlier than expected.

Unnamed insiders claimed that while Kate Middleton's husband "panicked," he was ready to assume the throne. The Duke of Cambridge was reportedly "absolutely serious about becoming Britain's next monarch and providing stability," Radar Online reported.

An anonymous palace courtier also told National Enquirer the same claim. The heir apparent was allegedly determined to continue the British institution.

"Young and hardy William will guarantee the future of the monarchy and is prepared to assume his duties at a moment's notice," the source said.

Months before the Palace announced King Charles' cancer diagnosis and a year after Queen Elizabeth passed away, a friend of Middleton spoke with People and gave some updates about the royal couple as they stepped up their game in preparation for their future reign, suggesting that the Prince and Princess of Wales were already involved in the decision-making.

"Charles is leading the way for them already, and [William and Kate] are both involved in decision-making behind the scenes. They are ready and willing to do the job -- and Kate is very much a part of that," the insider said.

Royal author Sally Bedell Smith also told the outlet that the Waleses maintain a "good balance between carrying out their duties and raising their children as privately as possible."

Another anonymous source close to the family said they continue to honor the late Queen Elizabeth with how they handle their private lives and royal duties.

"The prince was incredibly close to his grandmother," the source added. "She was such a big part of his life and a real supporter of his work, and I'm sure he and the princess miss her presence."

Others suggested that the King was steadying the ship for the heir and his wife. King Charles and Queen Camilla would reportedly "provide the best possible platform for William and Kate to go forward."

On Monday, the Palace announced that King Charles was diagnosed with some form of cancer. Prince Harry rushed to meet his father in Britain, which sparked concerns among fans who speculated that His Majesty's condition "must be serious."

Meanwhile, Nostradamus' 2024 prediction mentioned the "King of the Isles" being "driven out by force." Although there was no direct mention of a name, British author and Nostradamus commentator Mario Reading claimed it was referring to King Charles having a short reign, suggesting that he could abdicate.

He also claimed that Nostradamus' hint that the King would be replaced by someone "who will have no mark of a king," meant Prince Harry could ascend the throne instead of the heir apparent, Prince William.
