'SINBAD: Make Me Wanna Holla' Movie News: Coming to Theaters Aug. 22 [TRAILER VIDEO]
Sinbad is coming to a theater near you with the comedy event of the year.
The famed comedian will be featuring his stand-up routine in SINBAD: Make Me Wanna Holla, an exclusive cinema event coming to select theaters on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 8:00 p.m. local time. The one-night event features a performance that covers hilarious observations from Sinbad's life -- "from the life advice his parents gave him, to why he is tired of people with no talent having clothing lines, as well as explaining who he “really” is," the press release reads.
"I'm excited to be doing my first stand-up special for movie theaters," Sinbad said in a statement. "This will be my funkiest stand-up ever. It's time to know the dark side - the Memphis red side of Sinbad."
Pre-recorded live before an uproarious crowd at The Fillmore Detroit on August 2 in the comic’s home state of Michigan, SINBAD: Make Me Wanna Holla will feature some exclusive footage – never to be shown again after the Aug. 22 event.
The flick will be presented in nearly 500 select movie theaters around the country. Tickets for SINBAD: Make Me Wanna Holla are available at participating theater box offices and online at www.FathomEvents.com.
“If you love to laugh like I do then you won’t want to miss Sinbad’s hilarious comedy event from the comfort of your local movie theater this summer,” said Shelly Maxwell, executive vice president of NCM Fathom Events. “He is one of my favorite comics and this special Fathom event promises to be a side splitting, night of fun.”
