Prince William 'Upset' Prince Harry Allegedly Used King Charles Visit As Another PR Opportunity, Royal Expert Claims
Prince William and Prince Harry didn't see each other when the latter visited their father, King Charles, earlier this week.
The Duke of Sussex immediately flew to the United Kingdom after being informed that the monarch was diagnosed with some form of cancer. Prince Harry only met his father for less than an hour before returning to California without seeing his big brother
Royal expert Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, weighed in on the lack of interaction between the royal siblings. In her opinion, the Prince of Wales has no interest in seeing his younger sibling after the latter's attacks against the royal family.
"William would be upset that Harry yet again has chosen to make this visit to see his father a PR opportunity," Seward told The Sun.
"As far as William is concerned, he has absolutely no interest in speaking to Harry until Harry behaves like a gentleman and apologizes for the years of rudeness and slurs he has aimed at William and the Princess of Wales."
Seward also claimed that the heir apparent was not just upset; he was furious.
"William must be privately furious thinking over all the years how he supported Harry, and at this one moment in his life when his 75-year-old father and wife of 13 years are both potentially seriously unwell, all Harry can think about is Harry and using it as an opportunity to announce his arrival and expect to see William," she continued.
"Harry can't resist an opportunity to think about Harry and not the bigger picture. It really stirs things up, him rushing over to see his father, and maybe he should have waited for a week or two."
Seward complimented Kate Middleton's husband, noting that while he and Prince Harry always fought, he was an "excellent big brother." Unlike Prince Harry, who is allegedly "impulsive," the Duke of Cambridge reportedly takes time before he acts.
An old school friend of King Charles' two sons also spoke about the royal siblings' relationship. The insider, who chose to be anonymous, said it would be unlikely for Prince William to reconcile with Prince Harry despite their father's condition.
"The news about their father is absolutely shocking, but I don't think it means William wants to meet up with Harry and shake hands for the cameras," the source told the Daily Beast.
"If the papers want to write that they are going to be having pints together and a heart to heart, they will, but in reality, the idea that William and Kate are ever, ever going to let Harry back into their lives, or trust him with any personal information ever again is a total fantasy. It's simply not possible to exaggerate how bad and how damaged the relationship is, and how angry William is at Harry for betraying him for money."
