Emma Duncan and Maura Hooper, who claim to have dated Majors between 2013 and 2019, provided detailed accounts of claims of abuse, according to the 'NYT' report. Duncan alleges both physical and emotional abuse, while Hooper speaks of emotional abuse during her relationships with the actor.
According to the report, Duncan and Hooper described Majors as a "controlling, threatening figure" who, in their accounts, isolated them from friends and hindered their career pursuits.
Priya Chaudhry, Majors' lawyer, responded to allegations by acknowledging that the relationships with Duncan and Hooper were "toxic." Chaudhry admitted that Majors "did say hurtful things," but denied most allegations of physical abuse.
Furthermore, she stated that Majors was unaware of the HBO complaint. In her response, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, Chaudhry emphasized that, despite emotional volatility, there was no physical abuse in their relationship.
The recent disclosures emerge just two months after the 'Creed III' actor was convicted of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment in the second degree. The charges stem from a March 2023 incident involving the actor and his ex-partner Grace Jabbari.
Jabbari testified that during a car ride, she discovered a text on Majors' phone suggesting infidelity, leading to a confrontation where Majors allegedly injured her. This included prying her finger from the phone, striking her head while attempting to retrieve it, and later throwing her back into the car.
The charges could result in a maximum sentence of up to one year in prison.
His sentencing has been postponed and the new date is set for April 8.
