O.J. Simpson Diagnosed With Prostate Cancer, Undergoes Chemotherapy
Orenthal James Simpson, famously known as O.J. Simpson, was reportedly diagnosed with cancer Friday per reports from Local News 10 in Miami.
Simpson, 76, has already started the chemotherapy process in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The New York Post spotted the Hall of Fame athlete and acquitted murder defendant looking extremely frail in November 2023, reportedly limping through the streets of Las Vegas. He was seen hunched over after stepping out of a black SUV.
Simpson took time to address rumors surrounding his health in a video on Twitter, now known as X, saying, "all is well." He revealed he would host friends for Super Bowl LVIII in Sin City. He closed by wishing football fans a good Super Bowl weekend.
"Hospice? Hospice?! You talkin' about hospice," he laughed.
He continued: "No, I'm not in any hospice, I don't know who put that out there but whoever put that out there I guess it's like the Donald say, 'Can't trust the media!' "
In what became the "Trial of the Century," Simpson is notorious for the murder trial involving the death of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman.

Although he was acquitted in 1995 of the double murder, he was found liable for their deaths, and was ordered to pay $33.5 million to the victim's families in a California civil case.
Johnny Cochran and Robert Kardashian were popular names amongst the "Dream Team" of lawyers that represented Simpson during the trial. Cochran coined the famous phrase, "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit," referring to the glove the prosecutors alleged Simpson wore during the murder.
The former Buffalo Bills running back served nine years in a Nevada prison due to an armed robbery case involving memorabilia dealers. He was discharged from parole in Dec. 2021.
Later, Bruce Fromong, the man who Simpson robbed, described his robbery decision as "misguided," but says Simpson isn't a threat to anyone and that "he's a good man."
He continued: "I feel like it's time to give him a second chance."
