Travis Kelce's "unacceptable" behavior toward his Kansas City Chiefs head coach, Andy Reid, at the 2024 Super Bowl has some social media users worried, with some fans now describing him as a "red flag" for his girlfriend Taylor Swift.

On Sunday, as Swift cheered on the Chiefs from the stands at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium, Kelce was caught on camera angrily bumping into Reid on the sidelines, with the coach stumbling backward as his player yelled in his face.

The altercation occurred after Kelce was briefly taken off the field in the second quarter of the game.

Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco lost a fumble in the red zone, leading to Kelce's emotional outburst directed at the 65-year-old coach.

Kelce's actions immediately went viral across several social media platforms, with users on X, formerly Twitter, and TikTok criticizing the Chiefs star and expressing concern for Swift.

"How embarrassing for Travis Kelce. Disgraceful. I once respected this man a lot. Not anymore. I don't care who you are or what the situation is, this is absolutely unacceptable behavior. @NFL," one critic wrote on X.

"And just like that, I'm suddenly less excited about Travis Kelce. You don't get to ape up someone all aggressive like just because you're frustrated. Taylor, my darling, my dove, my lamb, this is a big red flag," remarked another X user.

"Travis Kelce is a red flag. That aggression isn't what Taylor needs," another fan wrote.

Some predicted that considering his behavior, Kelce and Swift's relationship may not last, with one TikTok user writing: "I just feel like Tay Tay isn't going to stay stay."

Concerns were raised about potential behind-the-scenes behavior, with one TikTok user expressing in a video, "Maybe it's just because I'm a woman, but if Travis Kelce is gonna get this mad over one play...what is he gonna do behind the scenes? This is terrifying."

However, others defended Kelce, claiming his behavior was just part of the intense emotions involved in professional sports.

"Some of y'all have never done sports at a high level. Adrenaline and emotions make this common in the NFL. Let's also mention the fact he apologized to everyone and the coach. Commentators said that," one TikTok user wrote.

"Have y'all not watched a football game?" another person commented. "This is just what happens."

A third user urged others to give Kelce the benefit of the doubt, writing, "It's honestly so stressful; [I] don't think we can judge his whole character on those few stressful minutes."

After the Chiefs secured its victory against the San Francisco 49ers, both Kelce and Reid downplayed the incident during postgame interviews, emphasizing their mutual respect and understanding.

Kelce joked during an interview, "Oh, you guys saw that? I'm gonna keep it between us unless my mic'd up [content] tells the world, but I was just telling him how much I love him," according to Us Weekly.

Reid also responded lightheartedly, telling CBS panelists, "He keeps me young. He caught me off balance. Normally I'd give him a little bit [back], but I didn't have [my] feet under me."

Reid later clarified that Kelce's passion for the game was the driving force behind the heated moment.

"He was really coming over [and saying], 'Just put me in, I'll score. I'll score.' So, that's really what it was. I love that. It's not the first time. I appreciate him," the coach said, according to ESPN.

Kelce echoed Reid's sentiments, praising his coach and attributing the outburst to the intensity of the game.

"I didn't care about my catches. ... I wanted the score to be different," Kelce explained. "Coach has asked us to speak our minds, and I just wanted to let him know how much passion I had for this team."

Swift appeared unfazed by the incident as well since she was spotted kissing Kelce on the field right after the win.

They later joined the rest of the team for a celebration at XS Nightclub in Wynn Las Vegas, where the couple danced to Swift's throwback hits, including "Love Story."
