Donald Trump penned a heartfelt Valentine's Day message for his wife, Melania Trump.

The former U.S. president remembered his spouse while the world celebrated Hearts Day. He penned a moving message expressing how thankful he was to Melania in a fundraising email, Rolling Stone reported.

"Dear Melania, I LOVE YOU!" the message read. "Even after every single INDICTMENT, ARREST and WITCH HUNT, you never left my side. You've always supported me through everything. I wouldn't be the man I am today without your guidance, kindness and warmth. You will always mean the world to me, Melania!"

Trump signed it with "From your husband with love, Donald J. Trump."

However, the message seemingly didn't move the netizens, who, instead of praising the gesture, mocked it because they felt that it wasn't sincere, especially at the mention of Melania not leaving the ex-POTUS' side.

"Donald Trump has just sent his missing wife, Melania, the tackiest and Trumpiest Valentine's Day note ever, and it is too HILARIOUS to be believed," one wrote. "Nobody has seen her in weeks, but he writes, 'You never left my side.'"

"Hasn't left his side? Melania Trump goes MONTHS without being seen with Donald Trump and has never been spotted at one of his legal appearances," a second user added. "I'm not faulting Melania in the least, but the statement just doesn't appear to be true."

"She stuck by him while he stuck it to others. Happy Valentine's Day?!?" a third user commented sarcastically.

"The funniest part is "you never left my side" when she has been noticeably missing from his side in court and during the campaign," a fourth person remarked. "And doesn't everyone sign their Valentine's Day card with their full name, including [the] middle initial? I know I do. It's the most intimate IMO."

Meanwhile, others defended Donald and Melania's relationship. The Trump supporters noted that the former first lady doesn't like the spotlight, so she's rarely seen with her husband amid his campaign. Others wished the couple a "Happy Valentine's Day."

"She does not like to be in the spotlight. So the f**k what. Where is your wife?" one asked those who questioned Trump's message.

"Actually, they were together at Maralago last weekend, 1st time together since she snubbed him at her mother's funeral," a different user said, addressing those who wondered where Melania was.

"Happy Valentine's Day to the Greatest former and future 47th President Donald Trump and FLOTUS, Melania Trump in U.S. History ... IMO," a different netizen wrote.

Trump and Melania likely spent Valentine's Day apart. He held a Get Out the Vote Rally in North Charleston for his second campaign event in South Carolina.

Melania wasn't spotted at the event. Her absence wasn't a surprise since the ex-FLOTUS usually stays behind to be with their teenage son, Barron Trump.
