Captain Hook Movie: Tom Hiddleston Attached As Villain in Disney's New Tinkerbell Film [VIDEO & News]
Tom Hiddleston, known as playing Loki in Thor, has just been cast to play another villain in Disney's new Tinkerbell film, Captain Hook.
The director of The Pirate Fairy, Peggy Holmes, announced the casting news on Friday morning at D23, Disney's what's-coming-next expo and celebration, in Anaheim, Calif.
The 32-year-old English actor will voice James, the younger version of Captain Hook.
"Cabin Boy James is educated and polite and energetic and charming and attentive. James and Zarina are steady on. They're like best friends ... for a while," said Hiddleston. "It's all an act. He's covering for his ruthless and cunning nature."
According to Entertainment Weekly, Hiddleston said he was excited to be a part of Tinkerbell's latest film because he idolized The Jungle Book and even sang The Bear Necessities from the film in an audition once.

The sixth installment of Tinkerbell's adventures will also feature a new fairy from Pixie Hollow, Zarina, who will be voiced by Mad Men's Christina Hendricks.
Holmes explained the actress will be playing a "seafaring, smart, swashbuckling fairy" who creates a new type of Pixie Dust from Hollow's essential Blue Pixie Dust. The dust gives her the power of all the other fairies' talents, combined, and she teams up with the pirates of Skull Rock.
Parenthood's Mae Whitman will return to voice Tinker Bell. The film is expected to hit theaters in Spring 2014.
This isn't the first time Hiddleston has voiced a character. He was Killer Robot No. 1 in Robot Chicken and appeared on an episode of Family Guy as Statue Griffin. Next year, he will make a cameo as the Great Escapo in the Muppets sequel, Muppets Most Wanted.
