LSU Running Back Charged With Attempted Second-Degree Murder
A football player from Louisiana State University (LSU) was arrested Thursday on charges of attempted second-degree murder for a shooting that reportedly injured two.

Treyvion Antwan Holly, a 19-year-old freshman running back at LSU, has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, aggravated criminal damage to property, and illegal use of a weapon on a public roadway.
According to a press release issued on Thursday, Holly was booked into the Union Parish Detention Center where he currently resides under a $512,000 bond.
The criminal charges revolve around an incident that occurred on the evening of Feb. 9 in Farmerville, a northern Louisiana town. At approximately 10:30 p.m., local law enforcement received a distress call summoning them to an apartment complex following reports of a shooting.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies were confronted with the aftermath of the incident, discovering two individuals who had sustained gunshot wounds. Information about the victims, the nature and extent of their injuries, as well as their current conditions, is shrouded in uncertainty.
Two additional teenagers have also been apprehended in connection to the incident. Jordan Ramond Jones, 18, faces charges of attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of weapons. A 16-year-old boy has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, aggravated criminal damage to property, and illegal possession of a handgun as a juvenile.
