Melania Trump 'Smiling The Whole Time' In Recent Mar-A-Lago Sighting With Husband Donald
Melania Trump and Donald Trump were reportedly affectionate during their most recent public sighting together.
The former first couple were seen together at a ball held in honor of the ex-POTUS by The Trumpettes earlier this month. The black-tie gala held at Mar-a-Lago was reportedly Melania's first major event after her mom Amalija Knavs' passed away in January.
One guest who was also present at the event said the former first lady was in "good spirits" the entire time. Melania also reportedly stayed close to her husband the whole night.
"She seemed quiet but in very good spirits. She was smiling the whole time," Delia Hickman, the creator of the "Momma Loves Fashion" who was also present at the gala, told Daily Mail. "What I noticed, in particular, was that although everyone was waiting for Trump to make his grand entrance when he walked in and waved at everyone, he made sure to turn to her and acknowledge that she was there!"
She continued, "After he made his way to the podium, she was there standing by the stage the whole time, smiling. She waved and said hello to everyone that was close enough to reach out to her. She was all smiles. There was a look of great sense of peace on her face."
As Hickman said, Trump was reportedly very affectionate to his wife. He reportedly looked happy that Melania was there. The former U.S. President was also reportedly attentive to his wife and even kept an eye on her when he walked through the cheering crowd, often turning his head to make sure she was close to him.
Melania and Trump sparked separation rumors when they left her mother's funeral in separate vehicles last month. They were also noticeably distant from each other with their son, Barron Trump, 17, standing between them in photos.
Many also doubted the images of the couple that Israeli model Noy Tawil shared on Instagram from a Mar-a-Lago party. Some claimed the snap was Photoshopped, alleging Melania didn't want to spend time with her husband.
However, Judi James, a leading communications and body language expert who has appeared regularly on BBC News, Sky News, GB News and CNN, said that Melania and Trump deliberately kept their distance to keep their "composure."
"The lack of touch here could be deliberate. When someone has to mourn in public, it is common to worry that acts of comfort, support and affection can make them lose their composure completely, and that might be Melania's concern that she needs to stay in control of her emotions at this very public moment for the ex-FLOTUS," James said.
