Prince William Called 'Hottie' With 'BDE' By Fans After 2024 BAFTAs Appearance Sans Kate Middleton
Prince William gave his female fans good vibes at his most recent public sighting.
The Prince of Wales walked the red carpet solo at the 77th EE BAFTA Film Awards at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday. The president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts since 2010 looked dapper in his navy velvet tuxedo jacket, black trousers, a bow tie and crisp white shirt.
He attended the event alone because his wife, Kate Middleton, was still recovering after undergoing an abdominal surgery last month.
Royal fans were very much impressed by the future king's appearance at the event, with many ladies complimenting him and joking about his "big d**k energy" or BDE.
"William has BDE! I said what I said!!" one wrote with two fire emojis alongside a photo of the royal walking the red carpet.
The post received many responses, with several agreeing. Initially, a number wondered about the meaning of "BDE," but upon learning what it was, they also agreed.
"Well, now that I know what BDE is, having looked it up, William has plenty of that going for him. Catherine is Blessed," one commented.
Another wrote, "He's such a distinguished gent and for me still a hottie!"
"Prince William is always top tier, A-list, a VERY big deal. #PrinceofWales #BAFTAs," a third person opined.
"'Big Willy' did not get lost in translation," another jokingly added with a beaming face with smiling eyes emoji.
A different user approved of the post, writing, "I had no idea what BDE means, and I generally disapprove of disrespectful vulgarity towards our future King. But having looked it up, yeah, totally. You're right," with thumbs-up and grinning face emojis.
"God, I'm so old I had to Google BDE. But yeah, I agree, lol," a different user said.
Another netizen wrote, "He's certainly a manly specimen," with a smiling face with a heart-eyes emoji.
Prince William did not forget to address the absence of his wife at the event because he usually attends the ceremony with the Princess of Wales every year. When he greeted the award's organizers, he reportedly apologized that the future queen couldn't make it with him.
"I am sorry Catherine's not here, she does love the BAFTAs," Prince William said, per Daily Mail.
