Meghan Markle, Prince Harry's Royal Wedding Guest Smelled Something 'Terrible And Foul' During Ceremony
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's 2018 royal wedding was picture-perfect, but it allegedly smelled "foul" for at least one guest.
Marke's "Suits" co-star Rick Hoffman appeared on the "Chicks in the Office" podcast and shared his experience when he attended the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's big day. According to him, he came across "something really terrible and foul," and his reaction was caught on camera.
"If you type in my name in on Google, you see my face making that awful face," he jokingly said, Fox News reported.
Hoffman recounted that when he took his seat, he smelled something, and there was "still air." However, it didn't go away, and "as time goes on, I'm starting to smell something really terrible and foul."
"Somebody has terrible breath, but it was more than one person. And it was getting over here," he continued.
He turned to his castmates, who were also present at the event.
"I don't want them to think it's me because I'm so particular when it comes to hygiene. So I'm like, 'Do you guys smell that?' And they're like, 'No.' So now I'm, like, literally by myself, alone on an island, and I'm just going, 'Mother...' And that's [the face] they got [on camera]," Hoffman added.
"Guess who knew the most in the cast that I had an issue with other people's hygiene? Meghan! Always knew and would always laugh about how I was so sensitive."
The hosts joked at Hoffman that the bride sat him next to the area with odor. Hoffman just said it was "ironic" that it had happened at all.
Although there was an unpleasant smell, Hoffman said the event was "incredibly special" and "didn't feel real" due to the thousands of people who gathered to witness Prince Harry and Markle exchange vows.
Meanwhile, "Suits" stars Patrick J. Adams, Gina Torres, Sarah Rafferty and Gabriel Macht reunited at the Golden Globes Awards last month. However, Hoffman and Markle were noticeably missing.
In an interview with Variety, Torres shared that they were "all texting each other," and their text thread was "insane." However, when asked who texted Markle, the "Firefly" star said they didn't have her number, implying that she wasn't part of their group text.
"We don't have her number. We just don't. So, she'll see, she'll watch. She should be happy that we're here," Torres said.
