Billie Eilish has been accused of throwing shade at TikTok stars during the 2024 People's Choice Awards and now faces backlash from some social media influencers.

A video shared by Pop Crave on X, formerly Twitter, captured Eilish seemingly commenting on the number of influencers present at the award show during a conversation with Kylie Minogue.

"I'm like, there's some... TikTokers here," the 22-year-old singer can be heard saying.

The "Bad Guy" hitmaker covered the side of her face as she mentioned "TikTokers," seemingly trying to avoid being overheard, before gesturing to something behind her.

Fans interpreted Eilish's comments as shade aimed at TikTokers, with many praising her over her candid remarks.

"She's so real for this," one X user praised the singer.

"She's right, TikTokers have no business being in award shows," a second person wrote.

Another commented, "Billie Eilish talking about the plague of TikTokers is hilarious."

"There are actually some talented TikTokers, but [I don't know] why they invite the bad ones," a fourth user wrote.

After the video went viral, well-known social media influencer Bryce Hall, who was at the PCAs, clapped back at Eilish.

In a TikTok video, Hall clarified that TikTokers were personally invited by People's Choice before declaring that he won't listen to Eilish's music again.

"Billie Eilish, I'm so sorry that I didn't acknowledge your greatness and bow down to you being another human being," Hall said in the video Monday before proceeding to bow on camera. "Here, there it is."

Other influencers and creators who attended the event included Tana Mongeau, James Charles, Bobbi Althoff, Noah Miller, Drew Afualo, Alix Earle, Chris Olsen and Brianna LaPaglia.

Meanwhile, Eilish won big at the People's Choice Award, taking home the trophy for TV Performance of the Year for her role as Eva in the Prime Video series "Swarm," according to Entertainment Weekly.

In her acceptance speech, she expressed gratitude to Donald Glover and Janine Nabers, the co-creators of the series, and reserved special praise for Dominique Fishback, the show's star.

Eilish dedicated the award to Fishback, acknowledging her incredible talent and contribution to the series.

"Swarm" premiered last year, and Fishback's performance earned her acclaim and an Emmy nomination.

The series revolves around an obsessive fan who takes extreme measures to protect her favorite pop star's reputation.
