Usher broke his silence about his steamy on-stage hug with Alicia Keys during his Super Bowl LVIII halftime show.

"In no way was anything that was done there should have been viewed as bad or in any way perverted," he clarified. "No, it was literally about having fun because of a song me and Alicia made many years ago. And we celebrated because of the legacy of it. And no disrespect to anybody or anything like that."
Following that, Usher, 45, clarified that he and Swizz Beatz, Keys husband, "absolutely laughed" about the social media opinions and memes during a conversation afterward.

The Grammy Award winner also reflected on his viral 2014 VMA performance with Nicki Minaj where he bumped his head on her rear end.
“That was Jamaican culture. You gotta go to Jamaica, you know what I’m saying? That was just a moment that was fun," he said. "And by the way, that was me playing my bass so I would have probably bumped my shoulder or my hand, but I had my bass in my hand so I just bopped off her body a little bit."
Ultimately, he admitted how he "shouldn't have smacked her butt."
