Jennifer Lopez Issued A Warning About Flirting With Ben Affleck Before Jennifer Garner Reunion
Jennifer Lopez wants other women to stay away from her husband, Ben Affleck.
Last week, Lopez appeared on "Today with Hoda & Jenna" to promote her new album "This Is Me...Now," a sequel to her 2002 album "This Is Me...Then." She played a game with Hoda Kotb called "This Is Me...Now, or Then," where the singer-actress answered rapid questions about topics ranging from her kids to outfits and birthdays. She was asked to raise the "Now" paddle if the topic applied to her at the present or "Then" if it was no longer applicable.
"The next topic, gets jealous if someone hits on your significant other," Kotb said.
Lopez made a face and immediately raised the "Now" paddle before issuing a warning to anyone who probably thought of flirting with her spouse.
"Don't play with me. Do not play with me," she stated.
Kotb prompted Lopez to share what she would do if someone started flirting with the "Justice League" star.
"First of all, I'm a lover, not a fighter," Lopez shared. "But I will let them know in a very elegant and lady-like way to step all the way off."
Lopez's statement came a week before reports that Affleck would reunite with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, for his upcoming crime thriller "Animals" on Netflix. Affleck's BFF Matt Damon is already onboard to star in the project, and his ex-wife is in talks to star opposite Damon. Affleck will direct the project and produce with Damon via their Artists Equity banner.
But Lopez has nothing to worry about her husband and his ex's reunion project. Affleck and Garner were married for 10 years before they split in 2015. They finalized their divorce three years later, in 2018.
The exes have remained amicable following their separation and continue to co-parent their three children, Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 11. Affleck and Garner are also on good terms with each other's current partners.
An unnamed source told Us Weekly that Affleck's ex and current wife forged a friendship amid their blended family setup with the actor.
"Over the past year or two, they've definitely become close and have gotten to know each other much better," the anonymous tipster said. "Both of them are incredible mothers and always put their children's needs first."
Affleck was also seen hanging out with Garner's boyfriend, John Miller. In January 2023, the two men were photographed smiling and shaking hands outside the "13 Going on 30" star's home.
