A mass brawl broke out among the fans watching UFC Fight Night 237 in the stands at an arena in Mexico Saturday, resulting in one person being knocked out.

Video footage published by TMZ showed a group of men grabbing each other by the shirt and hitting each other at Mexico City Arena.

In the viral video, which was also shared by X user @JS_mma_, a man in a black shirt can be seen punching another man in a white shirt in the face, causing him to stagger back and fall onto the seats.

The black-clad man then sucker-punched a third man right in the face. The blow caused the man to go limp and fall to the ground.

However, he was soon able to get back up on his feet with the help of the man in white.

The fight ended after some spectators appeared to intervene and stop the men from throwing more punches.

It was unclear when security responded to the brawl.

When asked about his thoughts on the fan brawl during a press conference following the event, UFC president Dana White said security guards appeared to just let the fight happen until it ended.

"I mean, that never happens. That literally never happens. It happened here, in Mexico City," White told reporters, as seen in a video shared by MMA Junkie.

"The craziest thing about that fight is when that fight broke out, it felt like it kept going forever. So, I ran over there, and I was watching it. Nobody stopped it. I was waiting for security to come in. They just let them go until it was over," he added.

White went on to call it "one of the craziest things" he's ever seen, though he doesn't think it's a "bad look" for the UFC.

"I think after everybody else saw that s**t, nobody else would want to try that again. No security. The fight just went on until the fight was over. I've never seen any s**t like that in my life," White said during the press conference.

The brawl sparked mixed reactions from mixed martial arts (MMA) fans and social media users.

One user on X, formerly Twitter, hailed it as the "fight of the night."

"Give $50k to that dude who KO'd the bald guy!" X account FanScorecard commented.

The account also joked, "They got tired of seeing no striking so they decided to give the crowd some striking."

Another user suggested the winner of the brawl may have the potential to become an MMA star, writing: "Sign him up, UFC!!"

Another X user wasn't surprised a fight erupted in the crowd, writing: "Although in our defense, [that's] how all mexican parties (kids bday, 15era, weddings, funerals) end."

Aside from the fight in the crowd, Saturday's event saw American mixed martial artist Brandon Royval face off against Mexico's Brandon Moreno. Royval defeated the former flyweight champion by split decision.

Meanwhile, Brian Ortega beat opponent Yair Rodriguez via submission, while Daniel Zellhuber won against Francisco Prado via unanimous decision.

The same goes for Yazmin Jauregui, who emerged victorious in his fight against Sam Hughes.
