Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Could Move To Another Country If 'Kicked Out Of US' Following Donald Trump's Immigration Comments
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could settle in another country depending on the latter's immigration application status, according to a royal correspondent.
Michael Cole, former BBC TV journalist and royal correspondent, weighed in on the Duke of Sussex's status in the United States. The royal expert believes Prince Harry could relocate abroad but not to the United Kingdom in case he gets kicked out of the United States after he admitted to using drugs in his memoir "Spare" while applying for an immigration visa in the country.
"So, of course, an admission in a book isn't sworn evidence, it's not testimony. But it is fairly strong circumstantial evidence that he took drugs," Cole told GB News.
"And if it is revealed that he did not tell the truth in his visa form, the Americans vigilate their immigration very seriously, unlike this country, and he could be kicked out of the country, his visa could be annulled, and he could be asked to leave America promptly."
When asked where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could stay after, Cole said they could "go back to Canada." However, he noted that the authorities "won't be happy to pick up the bill for security."
Cole also touched on former President Donald Trump's comment about Prince Harry's immigration. The former said he would not protect King Charles' son after what he and Markle did to the royal family.
"With Donald Trump, you're either in or out, you're either friend or foe," Cole warned the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. "If he regards you as a foe, he will do his best to act against you, there's no doubt about it. It's as clear as night from day. It's very serious matter."
The ex-POTUS spoke with Daily Express US moments before he took the stage to deliver his speech on Saturday at the CPAC conference about Prince Harry's immigration status. Trump said he was furious at the Biden administration for "protecting Harry" by keeping his immigration application confidential.
"I wouldn't protect him. He betrayed the Queen. That's unforgivable. He would be on his own if it was down to me," Trump said of Prince Harry.
The businessman-turned-politician added that the royal family has been "too gracious" to Markle's husband after "what he has done."
Trump's comment came 24 hours after Prince Harry appeared in court to address whether he had lied in his immigration papers about his drug use, which he detailed in his memoir.
