Emily Blunt has shut down speculation that she is the mystery co-star who "screamed" at Rebecca Ferguson on set and reduced her to tears.

Ferguson's revelation Tuesday triggered various speculations on social media regarding who the unidentified actor is, and one name that floated around was that of Blunt, who co-starred with the Swedish actress in 2016's "The Girl On The Train."

However, Blunt's spokesperson quickly denied the speculation, telling the Daily Mail: "Rebecca and Emily are friends, and there's nothing but love between them."

During an appearance on Tuesday's episode of the "Reign with Josh Smith" podcast, Ferguson recalled being berated so badly on set by an abusive co-star that she snapped and requested she only act opposite the back of the actor's head.

"I did a film with an absolute idiot of a co-star, and this human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn't get the scenes out," the "Dune: Part Two" star said. "And I think I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I got screamed at, and I would cry walking off set."

Ferguson alleged that her co-star told her in front of the crew, "You call yourself an actor? This is what I have to work with?"

She did not name the film set nor the actor, though she confirmed it was not her "Reminiscence" co-star Hugh Jackman or her "Mission: Impossible" co-star Tom Cruise.

Ferguson identified the co-star only as the "No. 1 on the call sheet" for the movie she was shooting at the time.

According to the actress, because her co-star was the film's star, she had "no safety net" or anyone who supported her on set.

Ferguson said she ultimately decided to stand up for herself, telling the actor: "You get off my set. You can F off. I'm gonna work towards a tennis ball. I never want to see you again."

When producers allegedly tried to stop her from clashing with "No. 1," Ferguson said she told them, "The person can turn around, and I can act to the back of the head."

Ferguson recalled being "so scared" at the time before eventually opening up about the situation to the director.

The director, who was also not named, allegedly told Ferguson, "You're right. I am not taking care of everyone else. I'm trying to fluff this person because it's so unstable."

Despite her fears, Ferguson was ultimately glad that she spoke out against her co-star's actions.

"It was great from that moment, but it took so long for me to get to that," she recalled.

After Ferguson's comments hit social media, she received support from her "Hercules" co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

"Hate seeing this but love seeing her stand up to bulls**t," Johnson wrote on X, formerly Twitter. "Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on our set. I love that woman. I'd like to find out who did this."

Social media users quickly began trying to figure out who the mystery co-star was.

"Everyone on Twitter trying to find who yelled at Rebecca Ferguson," one person wrote, adding that they were looking at "Getty images for every premiere with her on the red carpet."

One X user suggested that it might be Jake Gyllenhaal, who worked with Ferguson in the 2017 movie "Life."

"Wait the Rebecca Ferguson culprit has to be Jake Gyllenhaal he literally says the same insult in an interview promoting their film," the user claimed.

However, another said they believe it was "100% Hugh Grant," with whom Ferguson co-starred in 2016's "Florence Foster Jenkins."

"The only one she doesn't have pics with is the Rock, but he just tweeted it wasn't him. She has multiple pics with (Michael) Fassbender and Jake Gyllenhall (red carpet + press). She has only like 2 pics with Hugh Grant where she stands as far away as possible. I cracked it," the user claimed.

Meanwhile, one X user claimed Ferguson's "Doctor Sleep" co-star Ewan McGregor should be crossed off the list.

"Everyone wondering who Rebecca Ferguson is talking about when she said she couldn't work with a costar, just know it wasn't Ewan McGregor based on this clip alone," the user wrote alongside a hilarious clip of the two stars switching shoes during an interview.
