Palace Shuts Down Conspiracy Theories Surrounding Kate Middleton's Whereabouts
Amid mounting speculation and conspiracy theories surrounding Kate Middleton's whereabouts, Kensington Palace has issued a statement aimed at reducing concerns.
The representative for the Princess of Wales addressed the ongoing rumors in a statement to 'US Weekly.
"Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess' recovery, and we'd only be providing significant updates," the statement read. "That guidance stands." Assuring the public about Kate's well-being, they added she is "doing well."
Worries about Kate's health surfaced when the palace disclosed that she had undergone "planned abdominal surgery" on Jan. 17. At that time, it was emphasized, "Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter."

In an additional development, Rebecca English, a reporter from The Daily Mail, disclosed that the press has been informed that the Princess of Wales' condition is non-cancerous.
For those commenting on why journalists have specified the princess’ condition is ‘non-cancerous’ when she is keeping details of her condition private, it is because aides are happy for us to publicly share that information in order to minimise public concern about her condition. https://t.co/wE8cwOW9ce

"The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private. ... The Princess of Wales wishes to apologize to all those concerned for the fact that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements," the palace said in a statement to ABC News. "She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible."
The last major update the palace provided on Kate, 42, was shared on Jan. 29, when she returned home to Windsor following a nearly two-week hospital stay.
Following a brief hiatus in the wake of Kate's recent medical procedure, Prince William has resumed his public duties.
The Prince of Wales, 41, unexpectedly withdrew from a scheduled royal engagement on Tuesday, citing undisclosed "personal reasons."
