Bravo Execs Allegedly 'Pissed' Kamala Harris Canceled 'Sherri' Guesting After Changing 'RHOP' Reunion Arrangement
Vice President Kamala Harris was supposed to make a guest appearance on "Sherri" on Wednesday, but she didn't make it.
The VP canceled her guesting on Sherri Shepherd's daytime show because she was not cleared to fly from Manhattan to New York due to the weather. Shepherd announced the changes on the show and admitted that she was "so disappointed." However, the Bravo executives were also allegedly "pissed" because they made huge changes to the "Real Housewives of Potomac" reunion, scheduled to film in the same studio.
Harris' expected appearance reportedly prompted the team to schedule its shoot earlier. Their call time was allegedly moved to 4:30 a.m. so they could accommodate her security team since the Secret Service planned to close down West 26th Street in NYC for the VP's arrival. After making the adjustments and Harris being a no-show, the Bravo executives were reportedly annoyed.
"Bravo executives were pissed because their original arrangements could've remained the same," an unnamed source told Page Six. "The ladies [of 'RHOP'] were not happy with their earlier, new call times -- and neither were their glam teams -- but they still got paid because a job is a job!"
Another insider reiterated the adjustments to OK! Magazine, saying that Harris' guesting on "Sherri" allegedly shook up the schedules of the "Real Housewives" stars. The production had to make major changes to accommodate the politician's security, much to the celebrities' inconvenience.
"Their schedule now has to be rearranged and pushed up to 4:30 in the morning. All of their food deliveries have to come before the street is totally blocked off by the Secret Service," the tipster claimed.
"The whole block will be shut down, so there will be a lot of organized chaos because of Harris' arrival, which could mean their breakfast and lunch could be cold."
The change in filming schedule allegedly affected the whole production, including the decorations and the arrival of the cast. The insider added that the earlier call time would not be easy for the "Real Housewives" stars, who were allegedly not morning persons.
"A lot of time and scheduling goes into those reunion shows. So, the set decorations, time cards, flights, guest arrivals... have all been turned upside down. Those ladies are not known for their punctuality. So if they want to avoid any issues, they better be in that studio before [the] Secret Service pulls up," the tipster said.
"The Real Housewives of Potomac" airs every Sunday on Bravo at 8 p.m. EST.
