A new study has revealed the top songs to start the day after analyzing over 600,000 tracks from Spotify playlists.

Ashley Hainsworth, the managing director of bedroom furnishing experts Bed Kingdom, said their study "not only identifies the songs that energize and uplift but also celebrates the diversity of music that can inspire our mornings."

"This study is a testament to music's power to start our day on a high note," he added.

Here are the top 10 best wake-up songs per Bed Kingdom after analyzing together their energy, danceability and valance scores.

10. "Popular" by The Weeknd (with Playboi Carti and Madonna)

Scoring 290.5 points, "Popular" ranked as the 10th best wake-up song on the list.

The hit collaboration between The Weeknd, Playboi Carti and Madonna was released in 2023 as the second single from "The Idol, Vol. 1," the soundtrack album of the Canadian singer-songwriter's HBO series.

9. "Feel So Close" by Calvin Harris

Calvin Harris' 2011 song tied with "Popular" with 290.5 points. In terms of energy and valance, it scored higher than The Weeknd's song.

"Feel So Close" spent 26 weeks on the Billboard charts, peaking at No. 12.

8. "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls

Awarded 292 points, the Spice Girls' 1996 debut single was named the eighth-best wake-up song on the list.

Per Britannica, the catchy and playful song of the British pop group dominated the global charts in the late 1990s. It also dominated Billboard singles and album charts at the time.

7. "I Know?" by Travis Scott

Landing the seventh spot on the list with 293.5 was Travis Scott's song from his "Utopia" album. It also scored the highest on danceability, with 139.5 points.

The song is an honest self-reflection of Scott on themes like drug and alcohol influence and relationships.

6. "Come and Get Your Love" by Redbone

Tied at 293.5 points with "I Know?," "Come and Get Your Love" ranked as the sixth best wake-up song per Bed Kingdom.

When it was released as a single in 1974, it became Gold-certified after selling over one million copies. It also charted on the dance chart in America once.

5. "Escape" (The Piña Colada Song) by Rupert Holmes

The "Guardians Of The Galaxy" and "Shrek" featured song took the fifth spot on the list with 294 points.

"The Piña Colada Song" was included in Rupert Holmes' fifth studio album, "Partners in Crime," released in 1979.

4. "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson (feat. Bruno Mars)

"Uptown Funk," featuring Bruno Mars, placed fourth in the study, with 299 points. The 2014 hit song features a blend of vintage and modern vibes, making people dance to the beat.

In 2016, it won the Grammy award for Record Of The Year.

3. "Lil Boo Thang" by Paul Russell

Paul Russell's 2023 song catapulted to popularity after his TikTok video went viral. With 300.5 points, it was named the third-best wake-up song by Bed Kingdom.

Nicknamed "the song of the summer," the viral hit samples the song "Best of My Love" by The Emotions. It showcases a mix of 70s funk, R&B rap and happy vibes.

2. "Hey Ya!" by Outkast

With 303.5 points, "Hey Ya!" by Outkast became the second-best wake-up song on the list. It was also given the highest energy (48.5) and valance (145.5) scores among the 10 songs.

Outkast's 2003 song features a catchy and vibrant vibe that makes its listeners dance without noticing. "Hey Ya!" was awarded the Best Urban/Alternative Performance at the 46th Grammy Awards. It was also a Best Short Form Music Video and Record Of The Year nominee.

1. "Humble" (Skrillex Remix) by Kendrick Lamar

Securing the No. 1 spot with 312 points was the Skrillex remix of Lamar's 2017 song "Humble." Genius previously described it as "an intense DnB remix" of the rapper's hit single.

The remix has garnered over 73 million views on YouTube, with many netizens commenting "wow," "amazing," "fire" and "pure talent."
