Kate Middleton's uncle, Gary Goldsmith, defended her from the racist allegations that stemmed from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's previous interview.

Goldsmith joined ITV's "Celebrity Big Brother" and defended the Princess of Wales after Prince Harry allegedly threw her under the bus. He made the statement in reaction to Omid Scobie's "Endgame," in which the Dutch version named King Charles and Middleton as the two alleged racist royals who asked about the skin color of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's unborn child when they were still expecting Archie. Scobie was dubbed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's mouthpiece.

"I got so upset with Harry and Meghan because you don't put a stick into that spoke and reinvent history. I've got pretty miffed when they had a pop at my beautiful niece who couldn't say anything for herself," he told The Sun. "It's absolute bulls***t, and I didn't hide my feelings very well when I was offered the opportunity to say something."

He continued, "Kate is 100 percent not racist, neither is Carole. My family is not racist, and for Kate to be portrayed as that is just so far removed from the truth, it's ridiculous."

Goldsmith, Carole Middleton's brother, has no intention of saying something against the Duchess of Cambridge. Despite that, an unnamed insider claimed to The Sun that the Middletons were against the idea of him joining the reality show. The Palace was also allegedly anxious he might say something about the royals and Middleton's family.

"Gary said he's been read the riot act by Kate's mum Carole and her dad Michael," an anonymous tipster told the outlet. "They aren't happy he's going into 'Celebrity Big Brother.' It is infuriating for them. Kate doesn't need this stress."

Goldsmith was present at the Prince and Princess of Wales' 2011 royal wedding. He also attended Pippa Middleton's wedding to billionaire James Matthews in 2017. However, the insider claimed that he had "become the black sheep of the Middleton family" and wasn't seeing eye-to-eye with his sister, Carole, on "lots of things."

"He has said he doesn't have their blessing to go into the house but is going full steam ahead anyway," the source continued. "He wants to defend his family. Gary wouldn't do anything to embarrass Kate or William, who he thinks a lot of."

In an interview with ITV reporter Tom Bradby, when Prince Harry was promoting his book "Spare" in January 2023, he was asked about his and Markle's statements suggesting the royals were racist. However, Prince Harry denied that it was what they meant.

"In the Oprah interview, you accuse members of your family of racism," Bradby said.

"No," Prince Harry responded. "The British press said that, right? Did Meghan ever mention 'they're racists'?"

Bradby reminded Prince Harry about Markle claiming there were troubling comments about their then-unborn child's skin color and asked if he didn't find it "essentially racist."

"The difference between racism and unconscious bias ... the two things are different," Prince Harry explained. "Once it's been acknowledged or pointed out to you as an individual, otherwise an institution, that you have unconscious bias, you have an opportunity to learn and grow from that ... otherwise unconscious bias then moves into the category of racism."
