Travis Barker's son revealed on TikTok that he has been living with Tourette syndrome (TS) since childhood.

In a recent TikTok video, Landon Barker shared, "Hi guys! I figured I'd speak on this eventually. But yeah, I actually do have very, very minor Tourette's."

Cedars Sinai defines Tourette syndrome as "a neurological disorder that causes people to make unintended sounds, words, and body movements, called tics." Landon mentioned that he first became aware of the condition during his childhood.

"I've had it since I can remember, like preschool," Travis Barker's eldest son shared. "I remember exactly 'cause a teacher used to accuse me of rolling my eyes at her. Because one of my tics was like that. It was like a weird thing I do with my eyes."

Tourette syndrome is categorized under tic disorders, as stated by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. Individuals with Tourette syndrome encounter spontaneous and uncontrollable patterns of movements or sounds.

Tourette syndrome is more prevalent in boys than girls, with tics often intensifying during puberty. Typically, these symptoms become more manageable by early adulthood. Although there is no cure, the organization highlights the availability of various medications and interventions to address the symptoms.

In the TikTok video, Landon went on to describe additional tics he experiences. These include turning his head to the side in a jerky manner and rolling his jaw around in a circle.

"Yeah, it really just acts up in nervous situations and nerve-racking environments for me," he said. "But I thought I'd just share because why not?"
