Drake Bell Claims He Was Molested As A Child While On Nickelodeon's 'The Amanda Show'
Drake Bell is coming forward with allegations that he was sexually abused by a dialogue coach who worked with him at Nickelodeon when he was a minor.
The "Drake & Josh" alum was one of the former child stars who appeared in a teaser released Tuesday for the upcoming Investigation Discovery documentary, "Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV."
The description for the teaser revealed that Bell "will be sharing publicly, for the first time, the story of the abuse he suffered at the hands of Brian Peck," who was convicted in 2004 of sexually abusing an unnamed Nickelodeon child actor. Peck has not publicly addressed the documentary as of writing.
In the 48-second sneak peek, "All That" actor Bryan Hearne said, "To hear that Brian Peck was a sexual predator, it made me wonder immediately about who was being hurt."
His fellow "All That" star Giovonnie Samuels was also interviewed for the documentary, saying in the clip, "Who it is, when it happened, where it happened, I have no idea."
Bell appeared in the final seconds of the teaser, but he did not say anything, only staring somberly at the camera.
The details of Bell's allegations are expected to be revealed when "Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV" premieres next week.
Peck worked as a dialogue coach on Nickelodeon's "All That" and "The Amanda Show," Variety reported.
Bell starred in the latter from 1999 to 2002 before headlining his own hit Nickelodeon series, "Drake & Josh," from 2004 to 2007.
In August 2003, Peck was arrested on charges of a lewd act against a child and oral copulation with a minor under 16.
The abuse took place around two years before the arrest at the home of the former filmmaker, who was coaching the victim at the time, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a press release.
The victim's family told police that Peck had sexually abused the minor over a six-month period.
Peck pleaded no contest to the charges and was sentenced to 16 months in prison in October 2004. He was also ordered to register as a sex offender.
According to Page Six, Bell was reportedly the minor involved in Peck's case.
However, this remains unconfirmed as the name of the victim was not released, and Bell has not yet disclosed the details of the alleged abuse he suffered.
Bell has faced various personal and legal troubles in recent years, including allegations from his ex Melissa Lingafelt of verbal and physical abuse, according to People.
The actor also pleaded guilty to charges of child endangerment and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles in 2021.
He was sentenced to two years probation and 200 hours of community service.
The victim accused Bell of allegedly grooming her from the age of 12 and sexually abusing her when she was 15.
In addition to Peck, the four-part docuseries "Quiet on Set" will also explore the allegations against "iCarly" and "Zoey 101" creator Dan Schneider.
"Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV" is slated to air on Investigation Discovery on March 17 and 18. It will also be available for streaming on Max.
