Travis Kelce Says He Was Chased By Helicopters With Taylor Swift During Sydney Zoo Visit
On the March 6 episode of New Heights podcast, Travis Kelce recapped a paparazzi-engulfed experience with Taylor Swift during their visit to Sydney Zoo in Australia.
According to News.com.au, the Sydney Zoo is the pop star's "favorite hotspot," where she appeared once on Thursday and circled back around that Friday evening with her Super Bowl LVIII beau.
The duo was seen hand-feeding kangaroos, exchanging smooches, and walking the zoo's path arm-in-arm, per images provided by the news outlet.
On the podcast, Kelce, 34, detailed the Aussie wildlife visit with brother and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, revealing that paparazzi were able to capture endless birds-eye view snaps of the two as they observed the animals.
"There were full-on helicopters just flying around," the Kansas City tight end said. "They helicoptered us. Well, not us — Taylor," he said, referring to the Eras Tour star.
However, the swarm of paparazzi wouldn't stop Travis from enjoying the wildlife. "Saw a tiger sitting up in a treehouse — that s***t was f*****g sweet. Saw a lion close up."
"When you hear [the lion's roar], cause Taylor took the picture, you're just like, 'Oh my gosh.' Let alone one, you see three of them run down from their rock, their perch, knowing they're about to get fed. You see how fast and agile that thing is... dude it's over," he gestured, recalling snapping photos with Swift, 34, at the lion's exhibit.
The next day, the Eras Tour queen performed at her sold out show at Accor Stadium where she was bubbling to share details with fans about her visit to the zoo.
"I'm really all about the red panda. I think you guys don't understand how cool kangaroos are because you have so many. They are so cool, so strong. So bouncy," she explained.
The Cleveland Heights, Ohio, native was also brought to tears during the interview when discussing his brother Jason's retirement from football, saying he's always been "a step ahead of him in this game."
"We did not talk about much of your retirement, and I wanted to make sure that you didn't feel any pressure from me to keep going knowing I wanted you to keep going — I wanted you to keep playing," he began. "It's always been like I had that floatation device, right there."
"To have you out if it, man it feels like, it feels empty. It feels like it's complete. It was a success," he said to Jason, becoming emotional.
"It was a fun a** journey to watch," Jason, 36, replied. "Like I said yesterday, man I just appreciate you showing me the way and bringing us all along the journey with you."
