Donald Trump Receives Standing Ovation At UFC 299; Sits Cageside With Ivanka, Jared Kushner
Donald Trump was met with cheers as he made an appearance at UFC 299 in Florida alongside his daughter, Ivanka Trump, and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, Saturday.
In a video shared by TNT Sports, Trump was joined by UFC president Dana White as he entered the Kaseya Center in Miami ahead of the Sean O'Malley-Marlon Vera main event.
Trump got a standing ovation, according to Voz Media, while Kid Rock's "American Bada*s" played out over the arena's sound system.
Trump greeted fans as he made his way to the front row, where he shook hands with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy and former ESPN host Sage Steele.
The former president was also seen giving Ivanka a kiss on the cheek and Kushner a hug before he went on to shake hands with more people in the front row.
Trump later sat cageside with his daughter and her husband during the bout, which ended with O'Malley defeating Vera by unanimous decision.
Trump's UFC 299 appearances came just hours after a campaign rally in Rome, Georgia.
It also marked his first public sighting with Ivanka since January when they attended the funeral of Melania Trump's mother, Amalija Knavs, in Palm Beach, Florida.
Despite previously serving as senior White House advisers, Ivanka and her husband have not joined Trump's 2024 presidential campaign.
Shortly after Trump launched his presidential bid in November 2022, Ivanka released a statement saying she does "not plan to be involved in politics."
"I love my father very much. This time around I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family," she said, according to CNN.
Ivanka added, "While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena. I am grateful to have had the honor of serving the American people and I will always be proud of many of our Administration's accomplishments."
At the time, an unnamed source told CNN, "(Ivanka) would never go back to that life. She knows it's not something that would serve her or her family at this point."
Prior to their appearance at UFC 299, Ivanka and Kushner were last photographed attending billionaire heir Anant Ambani and his fiancée Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding celebrations in India last week.
The couple was joined by their 13-year-old daughter, Arabella Kushner.
Photos obtained by Page Six from the event showed Ivanka looking stunning in a gold-and-silver sequined dress by Indian designer Manish Malhotra.
Her husband went for a black tunic and pants, while Arabella donned a shimmering baby blue Custom by Zoe dress with flutter sleeves.
Meanwhile, Trump was also greeted with applause when he attended UFC 295 in New York City back in November 2023, the New York Post reported.
At the time, he was joined by Kid Rock, Tucker Carlson, Dana White, and the former president's son, Donald Trump Jr., as he entered Madison Square Garden to watch Czechian fighter Jiří Procházka take on Brazilian Alex Pereira for the Light Heavyweight title.
