Celebrities and other big names in the film industry dressed to the nines for the red carpet at the 96th Academy Awards.
However, while the Sunday event saw stunning looks, it also witnessed some fashion fails from the likes of the celebrities listed below.
1. Ariana Grande
For her red carpet look, the "Wicked" star wore a bubblegum-pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown with a layered cloud-like train.
One netizen likened her outfit to a "comforter," while another tweeted that she still looked gorgeous in "a dress that ugly."
2. Laura Karpman
Best Original Score nominee Laura Karpman for "American Fiction" looked like "a disco ball exploded on her" when she wore a sparkling head-to-toe outfit at the Oscars.
She paired her sequin-covered ensemble with an equally sparkly Cadbury bag.
3. Erika Alexander
The "Cosby Show" star wore a "rainbow cake-like" enormous tutu-style skirt over her white dress and completed her look with black gloves and a matching black purse.
Her elegant white dress could have looked better without the tutu.
4. Julianne Hough
The 35-year-old actress-dancer wore an Alexandre Vauthier couture jumpsuit for her Oscars red carpet look.
One netizen described Hough's attire as "a maternity outfit." Meanwhile, Vulture said her "giant pants" swallowed her on the red carpet.

The "Wicked" star made a head-turning arrival on the red carpet with her leather-like green gown with a back detail that looked like Godzilla's tail.
