Jennifer Lopez 2024 Tour Dates Canceled; 'This Is Me... Now' Promoter To Blame
Several dates from Jennifer Lopez's upcoming "This Is Me... Now" tour have been canceled way before the concert series' kickoff.
J.Lo's fans who bought tickets for her August concerts received a message from Ticketmaster that their "event has been canceled" and refunds will be heading to their accounts soon.
No explanation was given for the cancellation, except for a message indicating, "Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event."
Planned tour stops affected by the cancellation were included in the supposedly consecutive eight-day stretch from Aug. 22 to 30. The pop icon will no longer be performing on the tour dates below.
Aug. 22 - Nashville, Tennessee (Bridgestone Arena)
Aug. 24 - Raleigh, North Carolina (PNC Arena)
Aug. 25 - Atlanta, Georgia (State Farm Arena)
Aug. 27 - Tampa, Florida (Amalie Arena)
Aug. 30 - New Orleans, Louisiana (Smoothie King Center)
The "Let's Get Loud" singer announced that she was going on her first tour in five years last month, alongside the release of her ninth studio album, "This Is Me... Now."
The tour, which will kick off in June and wrap up in August, originally included stops in more than 30 cities across North America, per NBC News.
The tour and the album are part of Lopez's "This Is Me... Now" era, which also includes a music film titled "This Is Me... Now: A Love Story" and the documentary "The Greatest Love Story Never Told."
The film and documentary were released on Feb. 16 and Feb. 27, respectively.
"This Is Me... Now" is a sequel to J.Lo's 2002 album "This Is Me... Then." For her new record, she detailed her rekindled romance with Ben Affleck.
Most of the tracks on her album covered how she and the "Gone Girl" actor "never let it go" after they split in 2004.
In one of the songs, "The Greatest Love Story Never Told," the songstress even disclosed an intimate moment she shared with her husband.
