Oprah Winfrey Twerking? 'The Butler' Star Talks Dancing [VIDEO]
Even Oprah Winfrey knows what's it like to twerk!
In an interview with Global GrindTV, Winfrey spoke about the importance of her role in the upcoming movie, The Butler.
The 59-year-old media mogul revealed what is was like playing "Gloria Gaines" in the film and even joked about twerking/dancing when asked by correspondent BlogXilla.
"You dranked, smoked, you twerked in the movie!" BlogXilla jokingly asked in reference to her character. "How did that make you feel as a rapper?"
Winfrey laughed loudly and said "it felt pretty good."
"You know, what it says to me was that there was a whole generation of those women whose lives had to be put into a box. And they weren't allowed to go outside that box. So her in a jumpsuit dancing in front of Soul Train is about as far as she can go," Winfrey said.
The Butler hits theaters August 16 and it chronicles the life of a man who rose above the cotton fields of North Carolina to being a Butler in the White House, witnessing some of the most important moments in the nation's history.
"To be who you are and to be who you are and to understand that because of that generation, you get to sit in that chair and I get to sit in this chair--I think that's pretty huge to accomplish that all in one movie," she said.
Meanwhile, Winfrey made recent headlines for a racism remark she endured while shopping in Zurich, Switzerland.
Winfrey told Entertainment Tonight that while shopping for Tina Turner's wedding in July, she walked into a boutique and was interested in a handbag behind the counter.
When the media personality, who made $77 million asked to see the bag, a salesperson said, "No, its too expensive."
Winfrey said she asked to see the bag again, but the saleswoman refused.
"One more time, I tried. I said, 'But I really do just want to see that one,' and the shopkeeper said, 'Oh, I don't want to hurt your feelings,' and I said, 'Okay, thank you so much. You're probably right, I can't afford it.' And I walked out of the store," Oprah recounted.
